🏥 Another major healthcare project is coming to Riverview.

Construction is now underway on a new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital near St. Joseph's Hospital-South in Riverview.

The approximately 40,000-square-foot facility will provide specialized care for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, major surgeries and other serious medical conditions. The hospital is expected to open in summer 2027.

Developed by Ryan Companies in partnership with Exalt Health, the project marks the first of three planned post-acute care facilities across Florida.

As South Hillsborough continues to add thousands of new residents each year, projects like this help expand access to healthcare services closer to home.

One of the biggest events of the Honorary Mayor campaign season takes place tomorrow night at The Regent.

The Mayoral Royal: Casino Night will feature casino games, dinner, drinks, a silent auction and live entertainment, with proceeds benefiting ECHO of Brandon (Emergency Care Help Organization) and Forgotten Angels.

🏫 South Hillsborough's newest educational campus continues to take shape in Wimauma.

A new middle school is currently under construction adjacent to Aquilla J. Morgan High School, creating what will eventually become a multi-school campus designed to serve one of the fastest-growing areas in Hillsborough County.

The $72 million school is expected to open in August 2027 and accommodate up to 1,600 students. Plans for the site also include a future elementary school, allowing the area to support students from kindergarten through high school on neighboring campuses.

The project comes as Wimauma and surrounding communities continue to see significant residential growth, with new neighborhoods bringing thousands of additional families to South County.

Aquilla J. Morgan High School opened in August 2025. Less than a year later, work is well underway on the next phase of the area's expanding educational infrastructure.
