Heads up, Valrico/Brandon drivers — Tampa Bay Water crews are shifting into the next phase of the South Hillsborough Pipeline and it’s going to impact traffic for the next few months.

This is going to be INSANE...Through-traffic may want to use John Moore and Providence roads as alternative routes for north-south travel...until about March 2026!

📍 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐊 – 𝐒𝐔𝐍 𝐍𝐎𝐕 𝟏𝟔 (𝟗 𝐩.𝐦.–𝟔 𝐚.𝐦.)

The intersection of S. Kings Ave & W. Bloomingdale Ave will be restriped.
Closures & Detours:
• S. Kings Ave CLOSED between Buckhorn Creek Rd & Greenbriar Dr
• Bloomingdale: 1 lane each way
• Northbound detour: John Moore → Providence
• Southbound detour: Sherry Dr → Greenbriar

🚦 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂 𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍 – 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐌𝐎𝐍 𝐍𝐎𝐕 𝟏𝟕 (𝟔 𝐚.𝐦.)

Expect this pattern 24/7 for about 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥 months while tunnel work is completed under Bloomingdale:

• S. Kings reduced to 1 lane each way
• Northbound lane shifts to the WEST side of the road
• 𝗡𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁-𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲
• Speed limit: 35 mph
• Expect delays — alternate north/south routes suggested: John Moore & Providence

Crews will be installing a 5-ft diameter drinking-water pipeline as part of the South Hillsborough Pipeline project. Work hours: Mon–Sat, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.

Apollo Beach - Great news for South Hillsborough: Encompass Health has officially submitted construction plans for its new Rehabilitation Hospital of Apollo Beach, located on Myers Glade Ave, just west of the I-75 overpass and north of 19th Ave NE...

🏥 Phase 1: 59,000 sq ft | 50 beds
🏥 Phase 2: 21,000 sq ft | 30 beds
➡️ Total: ~80,000 sq ft | 80-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital
🚗 Access: Entrance from Myers Glade Ave (no access from 19th Ave NE)

The facility will sit just south of the upcoming 300-unit Build-To-Rent community, leaving only one remaining parcel along this corridor not spoken for...

Other than Publix, Publix Liquors, and Noire Nail Salon not much is known about the other tenants or outparcels in Wolf Creek Commons (but heard Dunkin might be in the mix)...and as far as that traffic signal at 19th and 30th, it's up to the developer...

LAST CALL for SYMBA A2471443 she is a DEADLINE 11-12-23 due to KENNEL REACTIVITY. She is NOT foster eligible thru the shelter, RESCUE or ADOPTION ONLY.

Symba is a year and 5 months old, weighs 67lbs, neutered and heartworm negative. Originally came to PRC in early August when his owner could no longer care for him.

Unfortunately, extended time in the shelter has taken a toll on him. Symba has shown signs of kennel stress, including growling, muzzle punching, biting the fence, or lip-curling when approached in his kennel .

Symba has been adopted and returned twice due to his high energy and situational behavior.

Symba is still very much a young dog and would thrive with a rescue or experienced adopter. He is a young, energetic dog who needs a little basic training and confidence building, we spent time with him and we know jes a good boy!!!

Per DEADLINE PLEA

Requesting final plea for Symba due to forward kennel reactivity towards people and reason for returning. In the kennel, Symba displays forward body language, and he is escalating to the point of trying to bite through the fence. Symba growls, tense body, and shifts his body weight to the front when somebody is in front of his kennel. Symba was returned from adoption due to Symbas behavior towards the elderly in the house. Adopter explained that Symba was fine with adopter’s brother and girlfriend, but that Symba was weary of the mom and grandmother. Symba started being weary was slowly escalating to more forward behaviors.

At the shelter, out of the kennel Symba has allowed handling and petting from staff and volunteers. From what has been observed at the shelter, Symba is social and high energy with other dogs.

PRC does not have the resources to help Symba, and he is going to keep escalating his behavior at the shelter. If there is no commitment by deadline 11/12/25, humane euthanasia will be authorized.

Please help save him.
