Our Purpose

Arkansas River Valley Bands is a news media group whose purpose is to showcase the area high school bands in the Arkansas River Valley area. Our goal is to recognize the hard work, dedication, and passion that area bands and their students have for the preforming arts. We provide insight into what is going on with the area high school bands and what major accomplishments they have achieved. Our hope is that area students will see how other band programs operate. Parents and students are welcome to send in videos and photos of any achievement or news to be featured on our page.

Alma, Booneville, Cedarville, Charleston, County Line, Fort Smith Northside, Fort Smith Southside, Greenwood, Hackett, Lavaca, Magazine, Mansfield, Moutainburg, Ozark, Paris, Van Buren, and Waldron.

ARVBands also covers Drum Corps International, which is Marching Music’s Major League. During the summer, we follow the 22 World Class corps and the 24 Open Class corps as they go on tour and perform from June to August. This is in hope to educate the area band students of the marching arts and encourage them to participate in Drum Corps.
