This week at Van Nuys Airport, we flew AIR7 to career day hosted by Los Angeles World Airports. Local kids got an up-close opportunity to explore the many aviation-related careers available within their community.

Today we celebrate Josh Page’s 15-year anniversary with Helinet. Since joining our team, Josh has consistently exemplified dedication and expertise. Starting as our Shop Foreman, his exceptional skill as a maintenance professional quickly became evident. In 2021, his continued growth and expanded responsibilities were recognized when he stepped into the role of Director of Maintenance.

Josh isn’t just an extremely skilled aircraft mechanic; he’s an exceptional leader who guides our maintenance team with precision and professionalism. We are incredibly fortunate and thankful to have him on our team. Cheers to Josh and his incredible 15 years with Helinet!

Today we reflect on the horrors that occurred on September 11, 2001, remembering the 2,977 innocent lives lost. We mourn as a nation the violence and terror of that day, and honor the sacrifice of the heroes that emerged.

We also commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the death of Helinet’s founder, Alan Purwin. Alan was not only recognized as an iconic film pilot, he was an entrepreneur and a visionary who changed the aviation industry forever with his innovation and fearlessness. We are so proud to be continuing his work and hope to honor him in everything we do.
