Hi local friends at 2am...

i don't know if you know this about me, but I created ThriveCon, a local business development and wellness convention.

After a difficult entrepreneur journey from 2020-2023, I found that I needed community more than ever to lean on, be vulnerable around, and to understand that I wasn't alone... we all struggle!! And that it's ok to not have everything perfect all the time. During my entrepreneur journey I had a hard time adapting from the corporate lifestyle to the lifestyle of just me. My mental health was worse than ever and that was saying a lot since my corporate career was very damaging. 😬

So in 2023 I decided to become part owner of and my first instinct was to bring people together and offer development sessions from experts in their fields so entrepreneurs and business owners of ALL types can grow together. 2023 was a small convention with incredible speakers, but even then I was filled with stress and tears through the process. I wasn't sure I was going to continue it, but honestly it showed that ThriveCon was needed, maybe selfishly at first but after a couple months business owners started coming up asking about the next year's. I realized that we all need a space to be transparent and feel those tears without shame. To talk to like-minded individuals without judgement. To find resources & tools on topics that we don't talk about enough because we don't understand them or are ashamed of not knowing them...or even business skills that aren't taught in schools. ThriveCon is a solution for that!

Fast forward to now...the ever growing ThriveCon, on year 3, has really evolved into something powerful. We will be focusing on Facing & Overcoming your Fears in Business and this theme hits pretty close to home...I had to overcome my Fears of ThriveCon to continue ThriveCon. It's crazy how serendipitous that is huh?!

This year is going to be incredible and I just hope that my amazing, badass community (that's you!) will be a part of it with me!!!!

Me joining social media again...to find out TikTok is leaving 👀
I'm officially back online and making my social media presence. It's sad to say that I will actually miss TikTok. At first I was very against it, but once I was challenged by my friend when I challenged her to Instagram... 😂... I realized the potential with TikTok.

Not only did I quickly train the algorithm to show me the local hotspots, coffee recipes, and my guilty pleasure celebrity news, but it also showed me a new avenue for news. I didn't realize that was truly a thing on the level it was on.

So now I need suggestions. Where do you find your world news? How do you keep up with important political happenings, alerts, etc. I want to continue to be in the know and be able to join on the important issues as much as possible. Comment below accounts on here I should follow, but also outside of Meta options. Please and thank you!
