This week, Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib will introduce a resolution to cut off billionaire subsidies, tax advantages, and corporate giveaways, as we launch the Defund Oligarchy campaign to expose the massive return on investment Trump’s billionaire donors are getting.

“One year after Trump promised to drain the swamp, it is clear that corruption is not just a slogan, it is shaping policy,” said Our Revolution Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese. “If we are serious about fighting oligarchy, it has to be through a governing program that cuts off corporate capture and political profiteering.”

One year in, oligarchs are more entrenched than ever while working families pay the price. This is about turning the fight against corruption into enforceable governing action.

They always say “Follow the money” when things don’t add up. But, in today’s world with Trump and the Oligarchs at the helm it’s “Follow the heaping mountains of cash!”

It is a Smash & Grab, plain and simple. They are raiding and pilfering from taxpayers, consumers, and workers.

As the average American is barely scraping by, these billionaire fat cats are compounding our problems and bankrupting everything and everyone. For what?! They already have more money than they can spend in a 1,000 lifetimes.

There is a moral imperative here for us to stand up and fight this theft of our country, our livelihoods, our children’s future!
