When I went from being just a guitarist to playing bass, my requirement for myself was not to just play bass like a guitarist. Play with fingers, learn slap, be the bridge between the guitar and the drums. Which is why the bass is a simple driving bassline while the drums give the tribal groove in the back. It's all about serving the song.

During the second half of the second verse, I added this guitar to bring extra movement and give the listener's ear new candy to listen for. It's not always about the main thing. The depth and repeat value come from the little things.

Lyrizone wanted a fast and chaotic guitar solo over the bridge. Challenge accepted!

One of my favorite drum parts I've written. The song Settle Down will be one of the next singles, and it's been a blast relearning my parts and adding with my current skill set. Did I mention that this is all me? Instruments, vocals, production... All But Denied is finally starting to live up to it's name!

I would be doing a disservice if I didn't remix my old band, In The Aether. Those songs never saw outside of the regional scene. I am still proud of this band, the friends, and the accomplishments even if our lives have moved different directions. I still love this riff!
