If Alice In Chains and Sevendust downtuned and had a baby...

I spent years not liking my voice and struggled finishing my music. Recently, something clicked. I started listening to my voice as a producer, not an insecure vocalist. Now I'm on a mission to put out a minimum of a song a month on top of my regular studio workload. Welcome to my journey. Settle Down now streaming on all platforms. Stay tuned for what I release for Christmas...

The first of my new goal - releasing a song every month. Settle Down is now available at Bandcamp.com, and arrives in digital stores on Dec 3rd! Written a long time ago, and now honed in with the producer ear I've honed working with hundreds of other artists. Exciting things to come!

When you want the vocal to be the focus, but the rhythm to be the power behind it.

These guys are always fun to work with, and love the flow they bring!

Artist: The Antelope Fishermen
Album: 8 of $pades
Song: Paranoia

I do love adding the Zil Bel into fills! There's just something I've always loved about effect cymbals and how they can compliment a song.

Artist: All But Denied
Song: Settle Down

One of the reasons I originally learned stick tricks wasn't to be flashy, but to stop hitting drums when I wanted to do more creatively without cluttering up the song. Starting to bring them back again!

I wanted to add some texture to the chorus without stepping on the rest of the music since there is a lot going on. Using pedal tones between notes gives movement while also not being distracting!

Artist: Lyrizone
Song: Make You Mine

Who says you can't play a busy drum part tastefully? 😄

Artist: All But Denied
Song: End Of It All

10/24/2025

One of my favorite drum parts I've written. So much fun to play! This one's almost ready for release!

Artist: All But Denied
Song: Settle Down

When the acoustic is the melodic padding below, while the real driver is the drums and bass. It allows the song to be vocal centric, but still have ear candy to keep the backing interesting.

When you have the right vocalist in, one of the best things you can do as a producer is not get in the way. Then you take what they give you and make it shine!

Artist: Plain
Song: 21

Our Story

Congratulations on finding Green Light Studios!

If you are looking for the drab and melancholy "we only care about your money" studio... this isn't the one for you. But if you want somewhere that wants to help bring your music and performance to the peak and help you build your song into what it was meant to be... well, now you've come to the right place.

Our owner and main engineer/producer, Josh Holland has plenty of experience not only helping bands find their sound, but also plays many of the same instruments and can help you get the most out of your craft. The best ones for us are the ones that can understand where we want to go and help guide us there. That is our goal.

We offer a free 30 minute consultation, so call or message us now to discuss your project!
