Heavy Russian accent. Hi**er mustache. The name "Adolf." And the son of the Shah thought it was real diplomacy.

Russian pranksters Vovan and Lexus tricked Reza Pahlavi, the exiled son of Iran's last Shah, into a video call by posing as representatives of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. One caller introduced himself as "Adolf," wore a Hi**er-style mustache, and spoke with a heavy Russian accent. Pahlavi did not appear to notice.

The fake official claimed Germany was ready to join the U.S.-Israeli campaign against Iran. Pahlavi responded positively, calling for more countries to join what he described as a "crusade" against the Iranian regime. He also said he was ready to lead a transitional government if the regime falls.

The video went viral. Pahlavi has not publicly responded. Vovan and Lexus have previously pranked heads of state across Europe and North America and are widely seen as aligned with Russian state interests.
