I misplace things on a regular basis. You’d think it would bring me peace to know I’m not the only one. According to The New York Times, the average person loses nine items a day.
I’m not that bad.
But when I lose something, it’s traumatic for me. I become a raving maniac, hinging the happiness of the rest of my day (life) on finding them.

On Monday, Nov. 3, at approximately 7 p.m., an Audrain County Sheriff’s Deputy was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Muldrow and Monroe Streets in Mexico, Mo., when a motorcycle passed the deputy’s fully marked patrol vehicle and proceeded through the red light.
The deputy recognized the motorcycle as matching the description of one that had been reported stolen earlier in the day in Ralls County and was believed to be in the Mexico area. The deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle, but the driver accelerated and fled northbound on Hwy. 15 from Mexico.
