Who could forget the great set pieces Tom Savini dreamed up for his remake of George Romero’s classic Night of the Living Dead? Like that wonderful scene where Ben, able to get only one shell into his revolver, is being attacked by a zombie, and we watch, agonized, as the cylinder rotates slowly, with every fruitless click of the hammer bringing that live shell closer, closer to firing. Or the fantastic homage to Lo**ta in which Barbara, transformed from the weak, shell-shocked victim to the gun-toting, take-charge hero, executes the cowardly Harry Cooper as he hides behind a full-length mirror, metaphorically fracturing herself into millions of pieces. All of those sequences may be unfamiliar you because they were never filmed, never even made it past the storyboard stage.

I realize this isn't high on people's list of priorities right now, but we managed to do some ka-jiggering on both our personal site AND our Amazon accounts and managed to avoid raising prices on most of our publications. While it will always be cheaper to order directly from us - should you be missing an issue of Exploitation Nation or Movie Outlaw, a script from Scooter McCrae or Tom Savini (news about NOTLD 90 coming soon!) - I fought against most of Amazon's tariff-related changes (which somehow also affected Kindle ebook prices, those I managed to change back to our normal low prices).

We'll also eat some of the cost of the increased postage as well, should you desire DVDs or Blu-Rays exclusive to the Happy Cloud site. You can't say we aren't doing OUR part for Truth, Justice, and Indie Entertainment!
