As a straight white male, I had the least to lose in this election, like all straight white men. I’m mourning for everyone who isn’t a straight white man, and I will forever despise those who voted for the racist straight white man.

All I can do now is focus my rage on spreading kindness, attempting joy when I am not joyful. This will be extremely difficult for me. It’ll require a massive shift in my personality, but it’s literally all I can do to make the world better. In person, at least.

That doesn’t mean I’ll tolerate a MAGAts. At all. But I won’t waste much more of my time fighting them on line. Blocking and pretending they’re dead, that’ll be my defense. But fighting them verbally makes me feel like a worse person. I’m sick today and insulting them makes me feel sicker.

Watching their ecstasy over the idea that r**e is now legal in their minds, that race violence is ok - it’s killing me as I’m sure it’s killing many of you. If Harris had won, we’d be cheering that they’d be getting what they need. Instead, they’re celebrating how many of us will die. They’re not human, so insulting them doesn’t land.

Online, I have to make like the people in The City and the City and pretend MAGAts are not there. While working in my own life to make sure those who aren’t evil fu***rs know they are safe with me and those in my circle.
