PART 6:Things my husband thinks are normal…

Booking our truck, Mad Pete, his own campsite.

Before anyone comes for us in the comments — here’s the actual story. 😂

We were staying at a state park where the sites were inexpensive, there was plenty of availability, and the site right next to us was open.

Instead of cramming Mad Pete, the fifth wheel, the kids’ stuff, bikes, and everything else onto one site, we grabbed the empty one next door and gave ourselves some breathing room.

So yes… technically our truck had its own campsite. 😂

Bougie? Maybe.

Practical when you travel with a 47-foot toy hauler and a retired Peterbilt who apparently requires his own accommodations? Absolutely.

“We’ll Keep it Simple” he says… 😂🚛

Next thing I know, we’re living full-time on the road with a truck that looks like it belongs in a convoy movie. And now, his personality has gotten so big, Mad Pete even has his own page!

Somehow our “minimalist lifestyle” still includes air brakes, diesel pumps, and enough lights to land an airplane. 🤣

We traded stress, clutter, and routine for mountains, campfires, freedom, and time together as a family. And we’d do it all over again.

Full-time RV life definitely isn’t always simple… but it’s been worth every mile.
