There’s something about this time of year that just feels different. The heat is easing up, the pace is slowing down, and you can finally start spending a little more time outside without feeling like you’re melting. 😂

The sunsets are still showing off, the Gulf is still beautiful, and Southwest Florida is settling into that sweet spot before season really kicks in. 🌅🌊

We had such a great time at the 2nd Annual FIERCE Women’s Showcase this weekend! 💕✨

It was such a fun evening celebrating women in our community, connecting with local businesses, hearing from inspiring speakers, and celebrating this year’s FIERCE Women and Business Women honorees.

And somewhere in the middle of all the networking, celebrating, and exploring… we ran into Barefoot. 👀

If you’ve spent time on Venice Island, chances are you’ve passed West Blalock Park… but have you actually stopped to explore it? 🌿

Tucked right across from the Venice Museum and Venice Community Center, this little park is home to the Monty Andrews Arboretum, a butterfly garden, shaded walking paths, a gazebo, picnic tables, a small playground, and some pretty fun Florida-inspired sculptures. 🦋🌴

One of the coolest parts? There are more than 100 species of trees and palms throughout the arboretum, each identified with informational signs. So you can take a leisurely stroll and actually learn a little about what you're seeing along the way. 🌳

You'll also find sculptures of a manatee, sea turtle, Florida panther, and tarpon throughout the park. 🐢🐊🐟

It's a small spot, but it's one of those places that makes you appreciate the little pockets of nature and history scattered throughout Venice Island.
