Fun facts about Joey:

Meteorology degree obtained from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in May of 2021. Have been visiting Florida since I was a small child and had the pleasure of living in the state for approximately 3 years to finish my degree. Spent lots of time in Venice, FL as this is where my grandparents own a condo during the winter months. Nothing beats the community and the people

that live in Venice and it's an honor to be able to support and give back to the community utilizing my skills learned in Meteorology.

Hey y'all,

If you haven't read the weekly newsletter yet, be sure to give it a glance sometime when your available! I have decided to replace the weather trivia question with the Weather Word of The Week going forward!

I was kinda just running out of trivia questions and they were getting kinda boring. So, I think this new section will be cool, plus you'll get to learn about different weather terms and maybe be a bit more educated the next time you read a weather report!

Additionally, I'm brainstorming other fresh ideas to add to this newsletter as we head into the new year! I'm always open to ideas as well!

Somehow we reached 43k people yesterday during the storms. That's about half of the reach I'll get during a hurricane.

That's pretty cool to think about!

🌞December 8th, 2025 Weather Outlook for & Nearby Spots!🌞

Just a few leftover showers around this morning, those will clear by later this morning and we’ll be left with mostly cloudy skies. I don’t expect much sunshine at all today, but it’s Florida so you never know! Temperatures will reach into the mid-70s°F range.

Tonight expect a partly cloudy sky around and a cool low temperature into the mid-50s°F range.

10:17 PM EST Radar Update:

The worst is over for Venice and points north. This line of storms will continue to push southeastward towards Charlotte County over the next hour or so. Should be cleared out by midnight at the latest.

Behind it don't be surprised if we continue to have some hit/miss light rain showers throughout the night into early tomorrow morning, but I don't expect anything more than that, in fact most of you will probably dry out.

I'll still watch it move through Charlotte County, but at this point I'm not concerned about tornadoes or anything like that, there really hasn't been any rotation with these storms.
