Meteorology degree obtained from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in May of 2021. Have been visiting Florida since I was a small child and had the pleasure of living in the state for approximately 3 years to finish my degree. Spent lots of time in Venice, FL as this is where my grandparents own a condo during the winter months. Nothing beats the community and the people

The official Peak Hurricane season is officially tomorrow September 10th, and boy are we tracking a whole bunch of nothingness!!!

Just 1 year ago, we were about 2 weeks away from what ended up being a very rough stretch of storms, if ykyk. This year? I don't see any concerns through pretty much the end of the month...

And this is why I say we take it one day at a time because while historically yes things are "supposed" to get more active at this exact time of the year, and if they don't then people begin to lose trust in those people saying it will get active. But if we say it won't be active, but then it DOES get active, well once again people lose trust.

So instead, I just like to say, we'll see and we'll take it one day at a time. Each day that goes by is 1 day closer to the ending of the season. Now obviously that doesn't mean we stop preparing for what could happen. I've said it before, but I'm confident that all my followers are prepared, and if you aren't well, you know where to find help if you need it on my website! And as you know I'm always available for questions 24/7.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the day! Temperatures will be slightly cooler nearing the mid-80s°F range, but feeling like 94°F.

Tonight expect a partly cloudy sky with continued showers/thunderstorms likely with a warm low temperature around the mid-70s°F range.

Watching some big rain storms offshore, but they aren't moving a whole lot! I think Venice through Osprey and maybe Sarasota later on get some light rain for now. Just enough to wet the ground a bit. I'll continue to watch, but looks like the worst of it stays offshore...

More late night showers and storms which are actually in association with a non-tropical low pressure system spinning just off the coast! You can clearly see the precipitation spinning around it!

Pretty cool to see!
