Sail House on the island of Bequia, takes its name from the tensile roof forms inspired by the sailing culture of the Grenadines, shading the home from the equatorial sun while collecting precious rainwater. The entire structure was pre-fabricated and shipped to the site from Indonesia.

Recently completed Venice ADU sits behind a home described by its owner in Forbes as his personal “Zen Den,” a private escape from the surrounding chaos. David Hertz returns to his alma mater SCI-Arc to lecture on Wednesday, November 8th at 6 p.m. The lecture is open to all and takes place at the SCI-Arc’s W.M. Keck Lecture Hall. The lecture will include a look back on the past 40 years as an architect and designer, and David will also discuss sustainable and regenerative design and his recent projects in climate resilience.
