Ben Salgado aka Exhume (formerly DJ Bassman) has been a cornerstone of the Neurofunk/Drum & Bass community in Los Angeles, California, since discovering the genre in the early 2000s. His journey into Drum & Bass began serendipitously with a bumper sticker on a truck outside a Guitar Center, leading him to explore the energetic sound that resonated with his punk rock, ska, and reggae roots as an electric bassist. By 2010, Exhume had fully immersed himself in the scene, and in 2015, he transitioned to DJing, combining his passion for live instrumentation with the electrifying energy of Drum & Bass.
