Let’s give a golden welcome to director Jonatán López () 🖤

The child of Colombian immigrants and the grandson of a matador, Jonatán is a filmmaker and visual artist whose work fuses surrealism with grounded emotion. Raised on Blur records, Adult Swim, and his sister’s Criterion box sets, he brings a genre-fluid, stylistically rich perspective to every frame.

He began as an editor, collaborating with icons like Terrence Malick, Richard Linklater, and Beyoncé, before shaping campaigns as a creative at Spotify with artists including Ty Dolla $ign, A$AP Ferg, and Flying Lotus. His directorial voice has since traveled through commercials, music videos, and narrative films—screening at SXSW, Tribeca, Cannes, and YDA.
