After battling for 82 minutes with no score to show for it, the Pirates' women's soccer team punched through a goal off a corner kick to claim a 1-0 victory at Cerritos Tuesday. Sofie Stock found Cristal Vargas' corner kick and placed it inside the net in traffic to secure the game's lone goal and secure Ventura's second straight win. Janessah Gonzalez had nine saves in the shutout win while defenders Alondra Sanchez and Tanaya Moreno also had solid outings. Ventura College VC Pirates Womens Soccer
