The saga continues, as Season 14 of Swamp People on The History Channel begins today! Seems like yesterday, when my dear friend Bruce Hanifan had me over to watch an episode of the new show he’d be composing music for. Bruce was the composer for Deadliest Catch and Ice Road Truckers and many more.

Earl Bud is the co-writer of, “Friends In Low Places.” We’re releasing it today on Lightning 100 in Nashville and online as well. Last night, watching Joe and Kamala speak to America about our path forward, I kept hearing the word “Healing”. We’ve been hearing that word a lot these past few weeks.. How can we become the “United” States of America again? I’m not sure exactly how, I leave that to wiser souls. ED BERGHOFF

Ed has enjoyed a successful career as a songwriter, publisher, musician and producer. His songs have been recorded by some of the biggest names in music including artists like, Garth Brooks, Wynonna Judd, Billy Ray Cyrus, Doug Stone, Michael English, George Canyon, Engelbert Humperdink, and many more.

In Nashville, Ed was Deana Carter's (Strawberry Wine) bandleader and is now based out of Ventura where he's active performing with the bands, “Tex Pistols” and “Hot Roux.”

Also, since his return to California, he's been concentrating his writing efforts towards composing music for TV. Currently, with composer/producer Bruce Hanifan, Ed co- writes and produces music cues for current hit TV shows like, History Channel's“Swamp People” and NBC Sports “Fishing With Roland Martin,” and “Inside Outdoors TV.” Bruce also was the composer for, “Deadliest Catch,” “Ice Road Truckers,” “Mud Cats” and “Ax Men,” to name a few, all of which Ed composed an extensive amount of cues for..
