Grab your friends and put your strength to the test at the annual Bohemian Tractor Pull!

As part of the Oktoberfest celebration, teams of four will compete to pull a tractor 100 feet down Main Street as fast as they can. The winning team takes home half of the pot in cash + an official Oktoberfest stein!

▪️$40 team registration fee
▪️Register ahead online or in person during Oktoberfest at Carey's Bar

That’s a wrap on Thursdays on the Platz!

Six weeks of live music, local food, cold drinks, family fun and a whole lot of summer memories in downtown Vermillion.

From cooling off with the fire hydrant to dancing on the Platz, meeting local organizations and businesses, enjoying the Clay County Fair and welcoming Sturgis riders to Vermillion — we packed a lot into these six Thursdays.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, our incredible bands, food and drink vendors, community organizations and volunteers who helped make each night happen. ❤️

And of course, thank you to our Thursdays on the Platz sponsors: Bluepeak Fiber Internet & TV, National Music Museum, and Sanford Vermillion.

Join us Saturday, September 26 from 4-8 p.m. for live polka music & dancing, stein-hoisting, a Bohemian tractor pull, costume contest, alphorn klangen performance and more!

Come hungry and enjoy authentic German cuisine from Vermillion Eagles Club and Cee Cee’s 605 Scratch Kitchen and Bar as well as Oktoberfest b**r from XIX Brewing Company.

Oktoberfest is presented by Walmart, with support from Doll Distributing, Maloney Real Estate, Masaba, Dakota Beverage and Edward Jones – Sheri Ouellette.
