What is your farm name? How did it come to be?

North was a pretty given thing for us since we live in MN. In fact, we moved further north after we came up with our name. Farms.. we were unsure if we were going to do homestead, ranch, acres... but Farms just seemed to roll off the tongue a bit more. Compass was more to do with finding each other and becoming a family. I met my husband when my daughter was about 10. Since then, he has taken her on many camping trips, multi-state road trips, out of the country, and much more. Plus, him being from Ukraine, there were just a lot of pieces that led the two of us to find each other. Some were very personal and some were just silly, but there was a Compass that directed us to our true north.. Our family.

Thus, Northern Compass Farms was born

Plus, we have always thought about possibly doing more animal rehab with the intention of the animals "finding their way back" either to another family or back in the wild.
