Choosin' Texas WON Ella Langley

Music fans were choosin' Ella Langley all summer long! ☀️

Her smash hit "Choosin' Texas" has been named the Song of the Summer for 2026 by Billboard.

The publication released their yearly list of the biggest songs of the season and Ella not only topped the list, she also holds 30% of the top 10.

Her song "Be Her" landed at No. 3 and "I Can't Love You Anymore" featuring Morgan Wallen reached No. 7.

Country music as a whole dominated the summer. Taylor Swift's county re-entry "I Knew It, I Knew You" found its way to No. 2, while Stella Lefty settled in at No. 6.

The list takes into account the songs that charted on the Hot 100 Songs chart between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Today, we remember the 2,977 lives lost 25 years ago on September 11, 2001, and honor our heroes who put themselves in harm's way for the sake of others.

An entire generation is coming of age, not knowing what it felt like to wake up on this day and watch the tragedy unfold before their eyes. It is our job to help them understand. Take nothing for granted.

Thank a first responder, soldier, or healthcare worker today; they are the real heroes of our society. Never forget. #9/11

Earlier today (August 31st), the Tennessee Vols football team unveiled the design for a new helmet sticker in honor of Dolly Parton.

The orange, butterfly-shaped sticker will be worn on the players' helmets throughout the entire football season.

"We'll be wearing a sticker patch on the back of our helmet to recognize her accomplishments, and everything that she's meant, and had an impact on Tennessee," the team's head coach, Josh Heupel, said during a press conference.

The University of Tennessee's main campus is located in Knox County, which borders Sevier County, where Dolly was from. 🧡 🏈

The National Hurricane Center on Thursday continues to monitor an area of low pressure in the Atlantic Ocean that could become a "short-lived tropical storm."
