NEW RELEASE — “Three Chords and the Truth”
This one has a story behind it.
A few days ago, I came across a post from a guy named Lee Larson. Lee had recently been released from prison, was rebuilding his life, and talked about being a musician with original songs he wanted people to hear—but without a guitar, amp, studio, or the equipment to make that happen right now.
I basically asked him one question:
“What if I told you that you didn’t have to wait?”
He sent me the lyrics to “Three Chords and the Truth.”
Lee wrote this song. These are his words, his story, and his message. I had the privilege of taking those lyrics and producing them through Saved4Last Music, and today that song is officially released under my artist name, Tim Hiestand, with Lee Larson credited as the songwriter.
The hook says it better than I ever could:
“All I ever really had is three chords and the truth… AND JESUS IS THE TRUTH!”
Lee, thank you for trusting me with something you wrote and allowing me to help bring it to life. I hope hearing your words turned into a finished, released song reminds you that where you’ve been doesn’t have to determine where you’re going.
Everybody else—give “Three Chords and the Truth” a listen, and if it speaks to you, share it.

Sometimes all you’ve got is three chords and the truth.
Turns out, that’s enough.
