Our Story
Our story begins around October of 2000, when the Unexplained paranormal investigation team was in operation at WJTV in Jackson, Mississippi. The broadcast news formula was unique in that not only were stories at least 3 minutes in length (most broadcast news stories are 90 seconds or less) but also they blended documenting history with present-day investigations of hauntings and mysteries. The team had a love for history and considered it crucial to investigating the mysteries.
On many occasions, the team collected fascinating evidence of paranormal activity.
Additionally, a trilogy of half-hour programs were produced titled Unexplained: Haunts, Unexplained: Haunts II, and Unexplained Haunts: III.
Fast-forward nearly 20 years and many of the familiar faces have returned! Now branded Unexplained Cases, the same formula is being applied to a YouTube channel and the same creative forces behind the original Emmy-winning product is hard at work. Without the time constraints, our work focuses on telling the story for as long as that takes. It’s not about personality or jump scares...it’s all about the story!
