Have you watched "The 3100" episodic series yet? It’s a powerful tribute to the wild rivers of our home state. Produced alongside Visit Idaho, we couldn’t be more proud of the whitewater experiences Idaho has to offer. If you’re looking to spark some river stoke and get your heart racing, this series is a must watch.

Chris Anderson took this photo of Ari Kotler, owner and operator of SOAR Northwest adventures, leading the charge down one of the larger rapids on the Selway.

"We've been home from the Himalaya for about a month now, and I still think about those mountains every day. I took this photo from a tea house along the trek to Everest Base Camp. Thick clouds had settled low in the valley, and my hopes of seeing the peaks at sunset were fading. As I unrolled my sleeping bag for the night, I noticed a shift in the light. I looked up and there was Ama Dablam, suddenly glowing in the last light of day.

I jumped into action, threw open the window, snapped this photo (and many more), and then just stood there, taking it all in for the few short minutes before the clouds rolled in and hid the mountains once again."

Words and photo by Chris Anderson from a very exciting project with Plimsoll this past spring. We look forward to sharing more details and beautiful imagery!

Ashley Paulson cruises the scenic road to Moraine Lake in Banff National Park - a dream route for cyclists, thanks to its closure to private vehicles. With stunning views the entire way and a finish at one of the most iconic alpine lakes in the Canadian Rockies, it’s hard to beat.

Chris Anderson captured this moment while shooting for iFIT during a 10-week adventure through the Canadian Rockies’ national parks. Check out the hiking, biking, and rowing series now streaming on the iFIT platform!

15 miles of mayhem. Zero room for error. This is what it's like to be inside a washing room.

The final episode of "The 3100" takes us to the Payette River, one of Idaho’s most iconic, diverse, and accessible whitewater playgrounds. From mellow floats to the legendary Class V gauntlet of the North Fork, Cascade Raft & Kayak guided our team through a myriad of sections to capture how this river delivers something for everyone.

Watch as two of the world’s best kayakers — Sage Donnelly and Darby McAdams — demonstrate balletic precision taking on one of the most demanding stretches of river in the world: the North Fork’s 15 miles of relentless Class V whitewater rollercoaster churn.

The perfect way to close the series.

Big flows. Big hits. Pure whitewater mayhem. Spring runoff at its most raw makes for permanent memories.

Just released Episode 5 of "The 3100" features not one but two rivers: the Lochsa and the St. Joe – each offering up short but mighty adventures, and the kind of day on the river that gives rise to lifelong obsession.

The Lochsa brings steep, technical, fast Class IV action. The St. Joe flows quieter, but still wild, through forested Bitterroot stretches. ROW Adventures guides Rian Garn and Devin Chattman show us why these rivers stay with you.

North America’s deepest river gorge. One of Earth’s wildest canyons. A river that runs with power, presence, and purpose.

This week’s episode of "The 3100" dives into the majestic Snake River and its winding path through Idaho's Hells Canyon – an 8,000-foot-deep chasm, deeper than the Grand Canyon, carved over millions of years. Dante’s warning to “Abandon all hope, ye who enter here,” doesn’t apply. Hells Canyon inspires awe, not dread.

Unlike earlier episodes, this one trades oars for throttle. Jet boats – essential tools for shuttling paddlers and expanding access to these remote reaches for all, especially for those who might not otherwise experience this canyon – lead the way. Two journeys unfold: Kurt Kilgore of Kilgore Adventures delivers the adrenaline of jet boating through rapids, and Stacia Morfin and James Spencer of Nez Perce Tourism share the deep cultural legacy of the Niimiipu (Nez Perce people), who have called this area home for thousands of years.

On the latest episode of the Cool Conversations podcast, our very own Mark Fisher and Erich Roepke talk with Kenton Cool about the story of shedding new light on one of the greatest unsolved mountaineering mysteries of all time.

In June 1924, British mountaineer Andrew “Sandy” Irvine vanished alongside George Mallory during an attempt to summit Everest for the first time. Though Mallory's remains were discovered in 1999, no trace of Irvine had ever been found - until last year. While filming for an unrelated National Geographic documentary, Erich, Mark, and Jimmy Chin came across a boot and sock containing human remains believed to be Irvine's on the Central Rongbuk Glacier, just below Everest’s North Face.

Mark and Erich caught up with Kenton at Everest Base Camp last month while there filming for yet another (and different) documentary.

Experience one of the most legendary whitewater journeys on Earth. Wild, untamed, unrelenting—with an unexpected opportunity for ice cream.

This week’s new episode of "The 3100" takes us down the mighty Salmon River—Idaho’s iconic “River of No Return.” The Fisher Creative crew joined Erik Weiseth and the expert guides of Orange Torpedo Trips on one of the premier multi-day whitewater trips, known for delivering a little bit of everything: crashing rapids, history, towering canyon walls, culture, wildlife, hot springs, grand sandy beaches, and yes, ice cream—served dozens of miles from the nearest road, in one of the Lower 48’s most remote river-access-only locations.

From adrenaline-pumping rapid runs to riverside echoes of the past, this episode captures what makes the Salmon a cornerstone of Idaho whitewater—and a rite of passage for river runners.

Tight canyon corridors. Rare solitude. Timeless beauty. All tucked in a unlikely corner of Southwestern Idaho.

In (just released) episode two of The 3100, legendary guide Jon Barker - Barker River Expeditions - and research hydrologist Gordon Grant journey deep down the Bruneau River—one of the state's most remote and underrated whitewater runs.

This multi-day trip cuts through ancient desert canyons, delivering seasonally fleeting rapids, technical sections, and a near-total break from the modern world.

It’s here.

"The 3100"—80 million years in the making and more than a year in the making for us—is finally going live.

This six-part docuseries showcases the beauty, challenge, and soul of Idaho’s whitewater. We spent 52 field days on 12 river trips involving 61 watercraft and covered over 380 river miles across 7 iconic rivers (plus countless hours in front of computers) to bring it all to life.

🎬 Watch the trailer now and catch the full first episode—"The Selway River"—on Visit Idaho’s YouTube: https://hubs.ly/Q03mS9b20. New episodes drop weekly featuring the Bruneau, Salmon, Snake, Lochsa & St. Joe, and Payette rivers.

For nearly four weeks, our team has been deep in the Himalayas filming a new documentary project on Mount Everest. While a few clues have surfaced online, we’ll hold off on spoiling the surprise — more to come soon.

In the meantime, we’re excited to revisit one of our proudest moments: the 2019 Perpetual Planet Everest Expedition with National Geographic and ROLEX. It was the most comprehensive scientific expedition ever conducted on the mountain. Captured here by Mark Fisher, this moment shows the installation of the world’s highest weather station — just below the summit. Plans for a summit placement were called off due to overcrowding.

Watch the full documentary "Expedition Everest" on Disney+.

As climbers prepare for this year’s summit attempts —including members of our current project — we’re sending up our best for everyone’s safety and success.
