Here is the latest projections on tonight's potential freezing precipitation event. Hit play on each graphic to follow the timeline for both temperatures and expected freezing rain. The main driving concern will be during the overnight into the early morning Sunday. Thankfully the ground is warm, so ice accumulation is expected to be little to one, however, bridges and elevated roadways could see significant icing, making travel dangerous. My advice is to stay off the roads! f you must drive somewhere, drive with caution and with a much lower speed than normal. Hang in there folks, It will be somewhat warmer by midweek. Stay warm!

We now have a tropical depression in the far southern Gulf. Tropical depression 2 is forecast to become tropical storm Barry before moving into Mexico by Monday. This system is likely to stay well south of the Texas coast. However, we will keep rain chances rather high for Sunday and Monday, with continued moisture flow around the system moving into Texas. ~ Trey
