We now have a tropical depression in the far southern Gulf. Tropical depression 2 is forecast to become tropical storm Barry before moving into Mexico by Monday. This system is likely to stay well south of the Texas coast. However, we will keep rain chances rather high for Sunday and Monday, with continued moisture flow around the system moving into Texas. ~ Trey

Severe Thunderstorm Warning, western Victoria county and northeast Goliad county. Thunderstorm capable of producing 50 to 60 mph winds, hail, and heavy rain moving east at 25 mph. Warning expires at 9pm. Stay inside and stay safe! ~ Trey

Tornado Watch for Dewitt, Lavaca, and Gonzales counties has been canceled. The watch is still up for Wharton and Colorado counties until 8pm. ~ Trey

Tuesday 4:20pm weather update: Tornado Watch until 6pm for Dewitt, Lavaca, Wharton, and Colorado counties. Currently a building thunderstorm line is located near Gonzales, prompting a severe thunderstorm warning for Gonzales counties. If you look at the Future Tracker map, this line will continue to build southward, while the line itself moves eastward. So much of the Crossroads will experience possible severe thunderstorms as we work through the afternoon and evening hours. Stay weather aware. ~ Trey
