A little over a year ago, I started writing music as a way to survive.

What began as a way to process my pain, tears, mistakes, recovery, and faith has become something bigger than I ever imagined. Today, listeners in more than 30 countries are hearing songs that were born from some of the darkest moments of my life.

In just 8 days, Small Town Boy has been streamed 264 times, my monthly listeners have grown from 1,000 to 1,685, and Amazing Grace (I’m Not the Same) and The Redemption Stories have now been streamed more than 2,887 times combined.

The numbers aren’t just numbers to me. They’re proof that hope travels.

Every song I’ve written is a love letter to the person still fighting addiction, still carrying shame, still wondering if change is possible. If my story proves anything, it’s that healing is real, recovery is possible, and your story isn’t over.

Thank you to everyone who believed in me, prayed for me, and never gave up on me.

Y’all… Small Town Boy just jumped to 78 streams already. 🤯
This song is finding its people one listen at a time. If you’ve streamed it, saved it, shared it, or sent it to somebody — thank you. Let’s keep pushing this little West Texas summer anthem. 🌾🔥

Tonight I’m sharing something different.

Over the last year, I’ve written songs about recovery, faith, family, hope, heartbreak, and finding my way back to myself.

For this song, I stripped everything away.

No instruments. No band. No production tricks.

Just my voice.

Every note, every harmony, every layer you hear in “When the Noise Dies Down” comes from me. The lead vocal, the low parts, the high parts, the harmonies, the imperfections, the cracks, the polished moments, and the raw moments—it’s all my voice.

I wanted this song to feel as honest and exposed as possible. When there’s nothing hiding behind instruments, every word has to stand on its own.

What makes this song so important to me is that it feels like all the different parts of my journey are present in those voices.

The guy who wrote his first worship song.
The guy who struggled.
The guy who found recovery.
The guy who learned to believe in grace again.
The guy still growing today.

Just one voice.

Layered into harmonies.

Nothing else.

This is “When the Noise Dies Down.”

I’d love to know what you hear and what it makes you feel.

WE DID IT. 🎉

We officially crossed 1,000 monthly listeners on Spotify!

Just a month ago, there were 32 people listening. Today, there are 1,047.

I honestly don’t have the words to fully express how grateful I am. Thank you to everyone who has liked a post, followed my pages, streamed a song, shared my music, added a track to a playlist, or simply offered a word of encouragement along the way.

A little over a year ago, I was fighting for my life. Today, more than a thousand people are listening to songs born from recovery, faith, redemption, and second chances. That is something I will never take for granted.

This milestone belongs to all of us. Thank you for believing in me, supporting independent music, and continuing to walk this journey with me.

We hit 1K. Now let’s keep pushing. 🚀

Onward to the next milestone.

❤️🎵

One month ago, I had 32 monthly listeners on Spotify.

Today, that number is 971.

Let that sink in for a second.

A year ago, I was fighting a battle that almost took everything from me. I was depressed, broken, exhausted, and trying to convince the world I was okay when I was falling apart inside.

Yesterday, I celebrated 13 months clean.

Today, 971 people are listening to music that was born from recovery, redemption, faith, and second chances.

This isn’t just about streams.

It’s about proof that God can take the darkest chapters of your story and turn them into something that helps other people keep going.

In just 28 days:

🔥 32 → 971 monthly listeners
🔥 +939 new listeners
🔥 Nearly 3,000% growth

I don’t say that to brag.

I say it because there was a time I didn’t care if I woke up tomorrow.

Now I’m watching God do things I never thought possible.

To everyone who has streamed a song, shared a post, added a playlist, sent a message, or simply believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself…

Thank you.

We’re only 29 listeners away from 1,000.

Let’s see what happens next.

Not my plan.

Still His purpose. ❤️

13 months ago, I wasn’t fighting to live.

I was just existing.

I had become a master at faking a smile. I could laugh in a room full of people while completely falling apart inside. I could tell everyone I was “fine” while depression was slowly convincing me that nothing would ever get better.

The truth?

I didn’t care if I lived or died.

I wasn’t making plans for a future because I honestly didn’t think I had one.

Every morning felt heavy. Every night felt longer. I was exhausted from pretending to be okay.

Then one day, something changed.

Not overnight. Not all at once.

I just decided to take one step.

Then another.

Then another.

When I hear Andra Day sing, “And I’ll rise up, I’ll rise like the day,” it hits differently now because that’s exactly what recovery has felt like.

Not flying.

Not soaring.

Rising.

Slowly. Painfully. Imperfectly.

Rising after every mistake.
Rising after every setback.
Rising after every day I wanted to quit.

13 months later, I’m still rising.

Today I have hope.
Today I have purpose.
Today I have dreams again.

The depression didn’t win.
The addiction didn’t win.
The lies in my head didn’t win.

God did.

If you’re reading this and you’re in a dark place, hear me when I say this: the person you are today is not the person you have to be a year from now.

Keep going.

Take the next step.

Then the next one.

One day you’ll look back and realize you didn’t just survive the storm…

You became stronger because of it.

And when that day comes, you’ll see that the version of you who wanted to give up was never the end of your story—it was the beginning of your rise.

Andra Day

🔥 ONLY 122 TO GO! 🔥

When I started this journey, I never imagined I’d be saying this…

888 Monthly Listeners on Spotify! 🎉

That means we’re now just 122 listeners away from hitting 1,000 monthly listeners for the first time ever.

Every stream, save, share, playlist add, and follow has helped get us here. This isn’t the result of a major label or a huge marketing budget—it’s the result of real people connecting with real music.

If you’ve been listening to Amazing Grace, One More Mile, Don’t You Go, or are excited for Small Town Boy, thank you for being part of this ride.

🚜 122 to go.
🎵 1,000 is in sight.
💚 Let’s make it happen together.
