Conference Countdown! 🚗⚡

Today, the WVAPA Board came together to finalize plans for our 2026 WVAPA Back to the Future Conference! We are getting closer, and we are SO excited about what we have planned for you!

A special thank-you to Janelle with Grand Point Conference Center, who spent time with us helping finalize our menus and making sure all the details are coming together for conference. We truly appreciate her help!

We’re also excited to announce that new vendors will be joining us this year, along with our regular favorites! And we have something extra fun planned this year…

Provided by DJ Associate (Chris), our photo booth will give everyone a chance to capture some fun conference memories!

And Chris isn’t stopping there! 🎶🎤 DJ Associate will be rocking the banquet night with great tunes and karaoke, so get ready to sing, dance and have a great time!

They’ll also be assisting with our Game Show session, which we know is going to be a blast! 🎮🎉

Several of our board members also stayed overnight at the Wingate next door so we could experience the accommodations firsthand and see what our conference guests can expect.

We’re happy to report that the remodels are beautiful, and we had the most wonderful stay! ❤️ We’re confident you’re going to enjoy your stay just as much as we did.

💙 WVAPA Membership & Conference Fees 💙

We’ve had a few questions about WVAPA fees, so we wanted to take a moment to explain the different types of fees associated with our organization.

⭐ Membership Dues (Every 2 Years)

Your membership is valid for two years and includes many valuable benefits, including:
✔️ The ability to vote in WVAPA Board elections
✔️ The opportunity to nominate and receive WVAPA awards
✔️ Receiving newsletters and organization mailings
✔️ Discounted registration for the annual conference

Membership Rates:
🔹 Active Membership – $30.00
🔹 Associate Membership – $20.00

📚 Renewal/Qualification Dues

For Activity Directors who have not completed an NCCAP course, WVAPA offers a state qualification program.

The $20.00 qualification/renewal fee, along with your completed application and Continuing Education Units (CEUs), allows WVAPA to review your qualifications and issue a certificate recognizing you as a Qualified Activity Professional in the State of West Virginia.

🎉 Annual Conference Registration

Conference registration is separate from membership dues.

Three-Day Conference Rates:
🔹 WVAPA Members – $325.00
🔹 Non-Members – $375.00

Daily Rate:
🔹 $200.00 per day (for those attending individual days)

This year’s WVAPA Conference is taking us Back to the Future, and we want to take a trip down memory lane before we fast-forward into another amazing conference!
