Numerous significant tornadoes, some of which should be long-track and potentially violent, are expected this afternoon and evening. The most dangerous tornado threat should begin across eastern Louisiana and Mississippi during the late morning to afternoon, spread across Alabama late today into the evening, and reach western parts of the Florida Panhandle and Georgia tonight.

The outlooks and discussions for the south keep becoming more severe the closer we get due to the unstable air under the cape. We are looking at some swaths of storms along the coast to Tennessee valley. If you are not prepared for these storms from Friday-Sunday you need to be prepared now. We are at a level 4 risk going into day 3-4 convective outlook.

You should prepare for high hurricane force winds, large tornados, hail, fallen trees and debris.

We will see a bulk of this storm at night and you cannot see these tornados, even if you just think it’s wind do not go looking for these tornados as the south is known for rain wrapped tornados meaning tornados wrapped in rain.

Please watch all your alerts on any device you have to alert you of any storm changes. If you need an app I can guide you to free apps ran by Red Cross emergency. ‼️

For March 15 looking at the unstable cape and a few of the soundings for the Gulf coast/Dixie alley has not change and still has very unstable air under the cape. This storm even 3 days out shows for major concern across the south and mid plains. We are still watching to see if any shift is valued in this low stream but so far no shift or change has showed. As we get closer to the weekend we will see convective outlooks for tornado percentages. As of now the south is still at level 3 risk and we will see some supercells and QLCS.

Please make sure you are preparing for this storm. The south is known for nighttime storms and rain wrapped tornados so any way to receive information and alerts need to be activated for this weather event. PM me or ask in comments for apps that I have and tested that will send immediate alerts to your devices that are free.

This storm track between friday evening and late Saturday is showing an intense storm system. The large scale upper trough will start to intensify moving east causing a strongly forced line of storms to push across Georgia into the Deep South. Central Gulf Coast/Deep south region will see multiple rounds of severe storms with both supercells and QLCS. This storm will bring a great deal of tornados but most damage will be caused by intense straight line winds and large hail. Please prepare yourselves for these intense storms this weekend and as always we will keep you updated as these storms move through until the threat is gone.
