Calling all Knights to battle the seven enemies of cotton! The Louisiana Tournoi Association will have their Qualifier this Sunday at 2:00 at the Industrial Park in Ville Platte!

We enjoyed having Tournoi guests Miss Queen Courtlyn Gremillion, Ms. Queen Hunter Duhon, and Tournoi Knight Nick Miller as our guests on La Tasse de Cafe' KVPI this morning!

We had St. Landry Tourism Director and C.E.O. Herman Fusilier as our special guest for the entire hour this morning on La Tasse de Cafe with show hosts Misty Parker and Ray Duplechain. Herman is a former announcer on KVPI.

Mark on your calendar to tune in to KVPI La Tasse de Wednesday August 12 from 8-9am as we will welcome Julie and Gracie Babineaux of the well known Cajun music group , The Babineaux Sisters. The two sisters perform with musicians Jason Harrington and Noah McLain all over Louisiana , the South and in Canada . They have recorded several albums. We will be giving away one of their CD’s and taking your phone calls and text messages. Be sure to listen in.

Retired Barber Larry Doucet was our special guest thus morning on KvPi La Tasse de Cafe with Swabby and Mark. Larry shared some vintage barber tools that were used in his shop. We enjoyed talking with Larry about his memories and stories of Ville Platte of years ago.

Our good friend with a green thumb, John “Sookie” Vidrine brought the KVPI crew this morning on KVPi La Tasse de Cafe , a sample from his amazing garden, a bag full of fresh home grown cucumbers. Thank you, John. Mike Perron is showing off a huge cucumber.

We had the time of our lives when these two special personalities invaded La Tasse de Cafe this morning : Dr. Barry Ancelet and Dee Stanley
along with show hosts Ray Duplechain and Mark Layne. We even had Floyd Soileau come visit us.
We are looking forward to a return visit.
