Belardo and Earley originally purchased the building in February and worked to convert it from the former Alloway Associates Realtors, which previously occupied the building and served the area for decades up until its owner reportedly decided to retire.

“We service into Southampton, Vincentown and the Medford area so this is just a really great location, high visibility with a lot of homes in this rural area,” Belardo said.

A trio of local residents hopes to gain control of the government of Evesham Township, Burlington County’s largest municipality, in November by flipping three of five township council seats held for several years by Democrats, including those of longtime Mayor Jaclyn “Jackie” Veasy and current Deputy Mayor Heather Cooper, as well as that of Dr. Krystal Hunter, who was chosen to fill the unexpired term of former Councilwoman Patricia Hansen after the latter resigned in 2024.

But although all three of the challengers—Nicole Gilchrist, who hopes to replace Veasy as mayor, Shannon Lukianovich, and Timothy Kennelly—are registered Republicans, they are officially running as Independents. And while that is due to a procedural error they claim was inadvertently committed by their campaign manager in submitting signatures to the county clerk’s office, which resulted in their names kept off the primary ballot, they now see that as a potential advantage in a community where there are nearly as many unaffiliated voters—14,190—as Registered Democrats, who number 14,382, but only 11,432 registered Republicans, according to the county Superintendent of Elections Office.

A project to install a well at the Chatsworth firehouse in Woodland Township has apparently hit a snag, with officials advised that by going deeper with the well, it would possibly “avoid outside agency approvals,” according to Township Administrator and Clerk Maryalice Brown.
