This is how I cut my cake, and save the extra for later enjoying. My cake has been in the freezer, and I took it out to sit at room temp for about an hour. I cut big cake slices vertically thru the cake and set the flat slices on a parchment sheet. Once I’ve cut thru all the cake, I will clean off and heat up my knife and create the size of slices I want. Once they are all cut, I get my “Cling Wrap/Saran Wrap” and wrap the individual cake slices very tightly and place in the freezer until I am ready to eat them. The cake slices can stay in the freezer for a few weeks-months if wrapped and stored correctly.
