Aloha mai kakou!
We hope youʻre having a wonderful week here in Utah-nei, where the sun is shining and takes you back to our days in Hawaii - and then you walk outside and it quickly reminds you that weʻre in Utah 🤗
Itʻs been a while since weʻve had our last hui and I know that some of our Alumni want to get involved with building relationships and connecting with each other again. Especially since General Conference is coming up quickly. As the Director of Pacific Heritage Academy and a member of the BYUH Alumni Chapter, I would like to invite you to participate in a fund-raiser for not only PHA, but also in conjunction with BYUH Alumni. PHA has actively recruited many teachers/interns from Hawaii and BYUH as they start their teaching assignments here in Utah, or who are transitioning to Utah to begin another exciting chapter in their lives.
As a school we are hoping to extend our building to create more classrooms and a gym that will help our students learn and grow in surroundings that are in conjunction with many cultural foundations established through cultural beliefs. With that being said, we are teaming up with PHA to present a Gala right before General Conference. Youʻll be able to use the Gala to connect with friends. A percentage of the funds will return to BYU Alumni Association to buy t-shirts and help off-set funds for the next activity. This will be scheduled later on this year.
