Ten years ago, and I sat on the floor with our good friend in his bedroom and finally settled on the name . With nothing to our names but big dreams, family, friendship, and grit, we began a journey of self-discovery, success, disappointment, struggle, and worldwide adventure. Like all great adventures, things never go as planned and require a transformation. Katie and I aren’t the same people we were 10yrs ago both creatively and personally we’ve failed a lot and we’ve grown a lot.
Mystery Box over the years has worn many hats and is known for a variety of different aspects of our business. Many know us for our innovation in delivering and mastering 8K HDR content, others know us for our vast collection of cameras and tools we use to tell our stories which we’ve also begun to rent and empower others to do the same, while others know as a reliable creative production company that brings stories to life. We love working in in all of our these realms but they also play against each other, and so to strengthen our work and protect each element, we are dividing our company into production, post, and rentals.
Don’t worry isn’t going anywhere, however it key focus will be production and content creation. We have a lot of exciting project in the works and this change will help us focus on making them great.
First we are excited to announce .rentals in partnership with Matthew Long which will expand our rental business and continue to provide premium, cutting edge tools and facilities to the Utah Film community in order to generate new opportunities to our Utah peers and quality services and support to out-of-state productions.
Over the next month we will be rolling out our new post production house . We are excited to announce our partnerships with some of the best creatives in the business who share our vision of offering premium end-to-end post productions services. So stay tuned!
