iVinton is looking for an IT Network Technician
Is responsible for, but not limited to:
The Network Technician installs new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates, and installs patches and resolves software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains and assists with all aspects of the City Network, Communication network, inside and outside plants. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity. Help business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Ensures computer equipment, hardware and software are updated to meet organizational needs. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization’s business requirements and meets the needs of end users. Defines system requirements based on user/client needs, cost and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Defines technical standards and functionality tests. Familiar with advanced concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on significant experience and judgment to plan and accomplish.
Associate degree (two-year college or technical school)-Preferred but not required. Working knowledge of IT networks required. Work experience preferred but not required. Proven working knowledge of MS Office. Server, Router knowledge. Handheld tablet and laptop experience needed. Web design knowledge & maintenance helpful, but not required. A+ Certification preferred but not required.
