Got my huge self out into the herb garden today and cut out all the Catnip that was smothering the Lavender. Then proceeded to sit on the front porch watching my amazing husband water everything with the sun setting behind him over the valley.

It's probably a pound or so of fresh herb! My legs were thoroughly numb and baby Flo was very done with my shenanigans by the time I got done processing it all lol. I'm waiting for the rest of the patch to flower before harvesting that, which will most likely e another pound of fresh materia.

I can't wait to make some amazing tea blends, extracts and bath brews for relaxing our bodies while lifting our moods 😌

Goooood morning from the s**t show garden!

Gonna be snagging a lot of this beautiful Lavender today! It smells so good, and I cannot wait to make loads of fresh herbal goodness with it!

I have made and scheduled almost all of the 67 new graphics for July! Have half of the 16 new blog posts completed AND have just a little more of the Bewitching Botanicals course to finish uploading to the website...if its processor will cooperate and let me save things. Square has been a butt the past few weeks, things are DONE, and I just haven't been able to upload them.

This little munchkin inside me is only getting bigger, and I'm seeing the need to digitally nest 🤣🤣🤣 I cannot wait for her to be here to wreck havoc on us and grace us with her little hobgoblin self 🥰

The DIFFERENCE of homegrown medicinals compared to even my most expensive bulk supplier. Chefs kiss. Don't get me wrong the herbs I purchase are still superb quality, but fresh is just FRESH.

Oh, how I'm going to be growing an entire bed of Calendula next year...Mwahahahaha. It is literally the easiest, most productive plant I've EVER grown! Plus, it's so beneficial and I'll never NOT use it.

We had 2 entire days of rain and cool weather. Now, all of my other herbs are super happy. Thinking I may move all the potted herbs to the covered front porch. My poor little rescue Chamomile is doing much better under there. I think this sun is just a little too much for the delicate plants. They're growing just not thriving like I know they can 🥰

Remember, fellow new plant experimentors, it's all trial and adjust...never error, unless it absolutely is 😅🤣

DIY Activated Charcoal & Bentonite Clay Mask

A lot of people turn away from natural skin care because they think it is unaffordable. Not with this recipe! I'll do a price breakdown later in the post with links.

This extremely affordable mask is one you want to have in your botanical skin care book for reference! Both Activated Charcoal & Bentonite Clay are said to absorb toxins, chemicals, and heavy metals from your skin. Both ingredients attract those nasty impurities really effectively! Look to use this DIY mask for skin irritations such as Bug Bites, Splinters, Poison Ivy, Acne, etc

What You Will Need:
1tsp Activated Charcoal
1tsp Bentonite Clay
1tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 drop of Lavendula Angustifolia Essence Oil (Lavender Essential Oil)

Simply measure, mix, apply and remove before this mix drys down so we do not remove too many natural oils from our face. Around 10 to 15 minutes will be your target time. You may leave this mix on for an extended period for the raised irritated areas that do need the extra pulling qualities of the powders.

You can save even more if you leave out the ACV for shelf life too.

Communing with the Dark Moon in Ritual doesn’t require a lot of materials or supplies unless you want it to. While the aspects are vastly different than when the Moon is Full l, it isn’t something to be feared. We utilize the Dark Moon for Shadow Work…not that kind…working IN the Shadow. The opposite of Light Work. Here are a few ideas:

~ Create Dark Moon Water: Dark moon water has a distinctly different energy than full
moon water and is best utilized in shadow work such as banishing, cursing, destruction spells, and divination. It can be used for anointing ritual objects, for cleansing and empowering objects, or added to potions and brews suited to shadow work. Can be as simple as Full Moon Water but retrieve before sunrise and keep it stored in the dark as well

~ Make Dark Moon Incense: not intended to smell pretty!!! The purpose of this incense is for magickal power more than for scent. This is completely natural incense and will smell as such. In the night collect dead leaves, small dry twigs, or shed pine needles. Take only dead debris to ensure they harbor the essence of death and endings. Once you’ve gathered all materials charge them the same as Dark Moon Water. Keep them stored away from light and burn in times of need to halt or eliminate a thing/situation or to cleanse a space after a chaotic encounter.

~ Make Death Oil: This is exactly what it sounds like! Ritual oil used in spells to symbolically invoke “death.” Different oils are used often in spells: for example, anointing candles with rose oil for love or dripping clove oil on coins to attract prosperity. The same idea applies to death oil, only it is used in spells for banishing, cursing, and endings. You can put a drop of death oil on objects to symbolically “kill” something, such as a feeling, behavior, or action. Put death oil on a symbol of an illness to help quell the sickness, or put some on a photo of something you wish to banish.

~ Witch’s Salt: we’ve all heard of Black Salt! Now make it with the Dark Moon and watch it come to life!

Take this as a jumping point for your own research. Look into the New Moon/Dark Moon and how she can teach you! I bet you’d be a little surprised on the lessons you’ve already encountered…

Retreating into Mothers breast
But warm and filled our souls will stay
For cold and hunger are held at bay
So cover your heads and rekindle the hearth
As now we await the Sun Kings birth

It has been some time but today I felt drawn to craft some Magickal Tools for the Solstice and Sabbat of the Sun...

These 2 Antler Wands are crafted with Naturally Shed Dakota Deer Antlers and Clear Quartz Crystals. In the Babylonian cosmology, the celestial stag is associated with the life-giving power of the sun. The Norse Prose Edda mentions a kingly stag who sits atop Valhalla and drips bounteous dew from his antlers. Mythologies around the world portray the antlered deer as an elusive and noble beast. The mythic stag is often a shapeshifter or a harbinger of great destiny. Regardless of story origins the antler has been long associated to the annual death and resurrection of the sun. The antlered stag represents wisdom, nobility, protection, and the cycle of death and rebirth.

Quartz is heavily under utilized in my opinion. It shouldn't be.. it's the Master Crystal, Spirit Bringer, Conductor and Amplifier of Energy. It's purpose in these wands is directly connect you to the Otherworld and to amplify your intention and bring your desires to life.
