A Message from My Pastor in Williamsburg, VA

"32 million regular church-going Christians aren’t planning to vote! You have to watch this video to truly appreciate what our pastor had to say.

As citizens, in my opinion, we should embrace the opportunity to vote, not let go of this important right. I truly appreciated how our pastor shared his experience and encouraged everyone to vote—not by telling us who to choose, but by reminding us to vote based on our convictions. We should continue to love people, even if their choices differ from ours. I hope you won’t give up the basic right that millions around the world dream of having. To me, voting is a privilege, and I will exercise it because your vote is your voice. Don’t miss the chance to make it heard—if you choose not to vote, it becomes harder to have a say in the outcome.

I follow Dave Ramsey regularly, and while I don’t agree with everything he says, his advice has helped more than it’s hurt. You can hardly go wrong by following it. When he recently shared who he plans to vote for on social media, his daughter couldn’t believe he’d made it public. Still, I love the thought process behind how he chooses his candidate—it’s thoughtful and principled. At the end of the day, even if we disagree, we should respect one another’s decisions and cherish the freedom we have to make them.
