Review (🚨spoilers🚨):
I’ll be honest, it took me a minute to get into Fourth Wing. I was coming straight off the ACOTAR hype and had a bit of a book hangover, so it took a few chapters before I was fully hooked. But once I was in, I was in. The world-building, the tension, the dragons; everything pulled me in fast.

The story gave me major Divergent vibes with its brutal training, dangerous tests, and “only the strong survive” energy. And Xaden? He felt like a perfect blend of all the Bat Boys, but mostly Azriel - broody, protective, and quietly intense (and he controls shadows 👀). The romance was solid, though I’d say it’s pretty tame spice-wise, at least compared to my most recent read ACOTAR. (There are two chapters out of almost 40 that you’d need to skip or skim through if thats a thing you do)

My biggest gripe (and the reason it’s not a full five stars) was Violet’s inner dialogue. I liked her as a character, but sometimes it was hard to take her seriously. Like, we’d be in the middle of an intense scene, and she’d start thinking about climbing Xaden like a tree. It pulled me out of it at times.

That said, I loved the character growth, the twists, and especially the dragons. Their personalities and the way they bonded with Violet were easily some of my favorite parts of the book. And now, with how things ended, I’m really curious to see where the story goes next, especially how Violet handles the government corruption that’s starting to come to light, her reaction to Brennan’s return, and how she reconciles with Xaden after realizing how much he was keeping from her. Plus, her inevitable confrontation with Dain after his betrayal? I’m so ready to get into all of that.

Once it found its rhythm, Fourth Wing was addictive, emotional, and just plain fun; a wild ride that I can’t wait to continue in Iron Flame.

Review (🚨spoilers🚨):
A Court of Silver Flames blew me away. I went in with high expectations, but this book more than delivered—it even rivals A Court of Mist and Fury for me.

I related so deeply to Nesta. Her struggles, her anger, and the weight of her pent-up feelings were written with such raw honesty that it felt impossible not to connect with her journey. Watching her character development unfold was one of the most powerful parts of the book.

And then there’s Cassian—my new favorite bat boy. His patience, humor, and steady presence made the perfect counterpart to Nesta’s fire. Their dynamic had me hooked from the beginning.

What I especially loved was how the story went beyond romance and really dug into healing and relationships. Even though Nesta’s bond with her sisters was strained, seeing her build those chosen-sister connections with Gwyn and Emerie was beautiful. Their friendship felt just as epic and important as the romance. And by the end, when Nesta began mending ties with her sisters and the Inner Circle, it felt like such a rewarding full-circle moment.

This book wasn’t just entertaining—it was healing, empowering, and deeply emotional. I’ll be thinking about Nesta’s journey for a long time.

I’m truly going to miss this crew. Until the next book…

My fall TBR is officially here 🍂📚 and it feels like the perfect mix for cozy, crisp-weather reading. I’m setting some big goals (especially since I’m also starting school again!), but I can’t wait to dive into these:

⚔️ The Fourth Wing series — nothing says fall quite like dragons, danger, and fantasy worlds you can get lost in.
🏹 The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes + Sunrise on the Reaping — finally stepping back into Panem feels so nostalgic, like returning to an old favorite just in time for the season.
📖 The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys — because fall always makes me crave a sweeping, moving historical fiction.

Fantasy, nostalgia, and history all in one lineup — basically the ultimate autumn reading vibe. 🍁✨

What’s on your fall TBR? Let’s swap recs and make our cozy season reading lists even better! 📖☕️

I went to the cutest book fair last night and I picked up these pieces from ! I kept seeing these page holders on Instagram and Etsy, but had never picked one up. Well, this one was gorgeous and I needed it, and it’s working great! I also found the coolest bookmark which I can’t wait to use when I finally get started on Fourth Wing here soon!

The Book Fair at The Ghent is happening again tonight from 6-10 - highly recommend!

Review:
If all the other books were long brutal war stories, this one is the light-hearted Christmas special, because that’s pretty much what it is. ACOFAS is nothing super special. It’s cute and fluffy and shows the characters healing and figuring their new normal out and celebrating a major holiday together as a family. This novella sees Feyre going crazy trying to gather the perfect gift for everyone. There are super sweet and meaningful scenes between her and Rhysand. Then we get introduced to a semi-new dynamic: Nesta and Cassian.

This story is also the bridge between the first arc in the series and the next one. Maas utilizes different POVs to create this transition and while some people were turned off by that aspect, I don’t hate it.
I actually don’t mind the third-person POV we get with Nesta and Cassian, as opposed to the first-person with Feyre and Rhys. I think it provides the perfect shift to the new path this story takes.

Overall, it’s cute and it’s airy and it’s a super quick and easy read. Is it phenomenal? No, but it’s great for a quiet cozy evening.

I love this artwork. It is the perfect representation of the group. There were random times, reading ACOWAR, that I could hear these people cutting up around the table in my head, and I'd start laughing with them. That's how you know it's a good story - you're no longer in your world, but in the world of the people you're reading about.

Synopsis:
Looming war threatens all Feyre holds dear in the third volume of the #1 New York Times bestselling A Court of Thorns and Roses series.

Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s maneuverings and the invading king threatening to bring Prythian to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit and one slip may spell doom not only for Feyre, but for her world as well.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre must decide who to trust amongst the dazzling and lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

Review (🚨spoilers🚨):
There are so many quotes I could have chosen to feature for this book. Rhysand's talk to the group before the battle was beautiful, but is a rather long passage. Some of the shorter quotes that stuck out are, "only you can decide what breaks you," and "you bow to no one," or when Amren tells Nesta "when you erupt girl, make sure it is felt across worlds," but we'll get to Nesta's story later, so I didn't want to focus too much on her. I feel like the quote about Rhys being the darkness and Feyre being his light embodied their relationship and dynamic, something that proved to be so essential in this story's plot.

The first third of the book was great. Feyre was in the Spring Court, making Tamlin think she went back to him when actually she was playing him. It was awesome. There were so many random times she would do something and then reveal that it was to corrupt his people against him or get inside his head and every time I watched it play out, I only felt bad for him a little because deep down I felt joy in his pain. And then when she finally went back to the Night Court, she brought Lucien with her. I love Lucien. He is so sweet and underrated, even though he might have been difficult in the beginning. I wish all the best for him in the future stories.

Once she gets back to the Night Court, she finally gets to see her fae-turned sisters and the bat boys who were badly injured in the fight at the end of ACOMAF, and she gets to see Rhysand, whom she had been communicating with through their mating bond. At this point, the goal was to plan for war and convince the other High Lords to join them and their cause. I loved getting to know all the other High Lords in this one, and seeing some more of the courts that we hadn't been able to see yet. And I loved seeing the dynamic of having Feyre as the only High Lady with her High Lord.

I also think this book really showed the stark contrast between Feyre's relationship with Rhysand versus the relationship she had with Tamlin.

So much went on in the last half of the book. There were scenes of pure war and battle and bloodshed. Several of these scenes played out in my head with the same level of hype as the Battle of the Bastards in Game of Thrones. They had to make a lot of deals with some pretty dark creatures to even have a chance of winning. And then it started to fall a little flat.

I did not give this book 5 stars. I wanted to. The ending had so much happen, and then it was all undone.

Amren died a very noble death. THEN RHYSAND DIED. I figured he would come back (duh, there are more books). But they brought him back the exact same way they resurrected Feyre in the first book. Then, boom, Amren is all of a sudden alive and well; she's just "mortal" now as a high fae. I honestly would have respected keeping Amren dead. We just had this bloody and devastating war and then it all wrapped up in a big happy bow, (except the Archeron's father. He stayed dead).

It was a good ending, other than that. We finally got to meet Drakon and Miryam, and we got some semblance of a resolution to previously established plot points. Amazing book, but not the most satisfying on the landing. ACOMAF still holds the crown for this series, but I am excited to get into A Court of Frost and Starlight to wrap things up for Feyre and Rhysand and get into whatever happens with Nesta and Cassian.
