Just Closed!

Daniel and Alison first reached out to me in December with a clear vision: finding the perfect home for their family of five. As a former Army soldier and an active-duty Navy CEC officer, they knew their move from Camp Lejeune to Hampton Roads needed to be seamless. Their wish list? A safe neighborhood, a cul-de-sac where their kids could play with friends, and a garage spacious enough for their gym equipment.

During their one visit to the area, we spent an entire day touring homes. We found one that checked all the boxes, wrote a strong offer, and got it under contract. But during the home inspection, we uncovered significant crawl space issues—and the seller wasn’t willing to make repairs. As much as they loved the home and neighborhood, Daniel and Alison knew it wasn’t a wise investment.

They kept the faith, and just a few weeks later, the perfect home in Foxgate Quarter hit the market. It had everything they were looking for—and more! With a virtual Facetime tour, we moved quickly and wrote a strong offer that was a win-win for both them and the sellers. We even negotiated an extended closing date to align with their timeline.

This week, Daniel and Alison officially close on their new home and begin preparing their family for the big move! I’m incredibly grateful for their trust throughout this process and for their service to our country.

Just Closed!

Jason and Rebecca first reached out to me last December with a goal: buying a home in Virginia this spring—completely remotely. As a dual-military couple juggling demanding careers, they knew this process would require careful planning, especially with the challenge of living on opposite coasts for over a year.

With Rebecca remaining in Hawaii and Jason relocating to Virginia, they wanted to keep their home there while also investing in the real estate market here. Their search had to balance affordability, long-term value, and the reality of owning two homes at once.

Our first offer in January was on a charming ranch home in Great Bridge, but during the home inspection, we uncovered significant structural issues. It wasn’t the right fit, and while walking away from a home you love is never easy, they trusted me to guide them toward a better investment.

A few weeks later, one of my teammates, Jennifer, listed the perfect home—a beautiful property on a spacious corner lot in Chesapeake. We moved fast with a strong offer, and this time, everything lined up just right!

This week, Jason will fly in from Hawaii to see his new home for the very first time—after closing on it. That level of trust is never lost on me. Buying a home is one of the biggest investments you can make, and I’m grateful every time a client allows me to help navigate the process, even when it means making tough calls along the way.
