In the #1 vs. #2 showdown, Franklin & Marshall commit Allie Tyszco led the way for the Bulldogs with two goals to help secure the win.

We came to Super Girl Virginia Beach with one mission: shine the light on female athletes.

And for three days, that’s exactly what we did.

From the sand to the ramps, fields, courts and finish line, we watched girls and women compete, celebrate, connect and show everyone exactly what being a Super Girl looks like.

We covered the champions. We covered the rising stars. We covered the coaches, community leaders and women creating opportunities for the girls coming next.

But more than anything, we got to tell THEIR stories.

That’s what She Scored Sports is here to do.

To every athlete who stepped in front of our camera, every family who stopped by our tent, every person who shared a story with us and every member of our team who helped make this weekend happen — THANK YOU.

Super Girl Virginia Beach 2026, you were one for the books.

A NEW ERA FOR WOMEN’S SPORTS AT NORFOLK STATE. 🏈💚💛

Super Girl weekend gave us the chance to catch up with Norfolk State Women’s Flag Football Defensive Assistant Lawanda Pearson as the Spartans came out to support the next generation of local girls competing in flag football.

The timing makes the story even bigger — this is the inaugural year of women’s flag football at Norfolk State.

Pearson talked with She Scored Sports about the growth of the game, what she’s seeing in young athletes across the 757 and why it matters for girls to now see a pathway that can take them from youth and high school flag football all the way to the collegiate level.

The opportunities are growing. The pathway is becoming clearer. And right here in Hampton Roads, another door is opening for female athletes.

14-YEAR-OLD KAMRYN SMITH WINS SUPER GIRL BEACH 5K

Kamryn Smith, a 14-year-old student at Kellam High School, captured the win in the Super Girl Beach Run/Walk 5K, crossing the finish line in under 20 minutes.

We caught up with Sand Speed Girls Flag Football athletes Abigail Bowman and Piper Toller during Super Girl Virginia Beach to talk about competing on the sand, what they love about the game and what it means to be part of a sport that continues to create new opportunities for girls.

From the 757 to the Super Girl stage, the next generation is already making its mark.
