60 years on this Earth is a great reason to celebrate. All great celebrations need a great DJ to help execute the vision and turn the day into an epic memory. Now let's eat, laugh and dance. 🎵🎶🎊🎉😊

Special note, I get to dig into my music crates deep to cover songs from 60s, 70s, 80s and the family is from Brazil originally, so I have some Pagode classics ready, some samba, bossa nova... You know I have some funk for the newer generation.

😂🎶 Just because a song gets requested at a wedding doesn't mean it SHOULD be played! 💀

Here are a few memorable songs that guests have actually requested at weddings I've DJ'd over the years. Would I play them again if requested? Probably NOT! 🤣

Fun fact: "Scotty Doesn't Know" almost got me a negative review! 🫠🫣 That was a lesson learned!

As a professional wedding DJ, sometimes knowing what NOT to play is just as important as knowing what gets everyone dancing. 🎧

What an EPIC wedding reception celebrating Anthony & Mina last night! 💍❤️ Grateful to have been part of their beautiful celebration of love on a family farm in Charles City, Virginia!

This wasn't your typical wedding playlist! 🎶 I had to dig DEEP into the crates for Zouk, Soca, Dancehall, Caribbean classics, and all those wedding reception favorites that keep EVERY generation dancing! 🔥💃🏾🕺🏾

With guests representing Haiti 🇭🇹, Trinidad 🇹🇹, St. Lucia 🇱🇨, Florida 🌴, and beyond, this dance floor was a true celebration of cultures, music, and family!

One of my favorite moments was hearing the bride share how difficult it had been to find a professional wedding DJ with the cultural background, musical knowledge, and versatility to entertain BOTH sides of the family.

As a Belize-born 🇧🇿 DJ & MC who genuinely loves Caribbean music and multicultural celebrations, this was an EASY YES for me! 🙌🏾

Last night was my first time DJing a wedding at Great Neck Pavilion, and I was genuinely impressed with the space. 🙌🏾
Operated by Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation, Great Neck Pavilion is a modern indoor event venue tucked inside Great Neck Park and a great option to consider for a wedding reception, birthday party, retirement celebration, corporate event or private event in Virginia Beach.
For a wedding around 100 guests or fewer, I especially like the layout. You get high ceilings, a clean modern-style event space, plenty of room for dinner and dancing, an outdoor patio, and a separate caterer-ready kitchen in the back for your food service team. There’s also a gazebo and beautiful scenery around Great Neck Park and Lynnhaven Bay nearby for ceremonies and photos. 💍🌳
It’s also a good option for couples who don’t mind taking a more hands-on approach to bringing in their own décor, rentals and vendors and creating the space they want.
And a big thank you to Astro Event Company for once again trusting me with their clients and bringing me in as a reliable professional DJ/MC to make sure everyone had a great experience. 🙏🏾😎🎧

October is looking BUSY and blessed! 🙌🏽🎧
Every Saturday this month is officially booked with private events, and I’m grateful for every single one. 💚
That said, a few Fridays and other weekdays may still be available for public events, private parties, corporate events… and heck, let’s see if I can squeeze in a couple more last-minute weddings and finish October strong! 😂💍
