The Virginia Beach Public Utilities advises that a boil water notice is immediately in effect for the following in the Princess Anne Road area: Tidewater Community College – Virginia Beach Campus, ODU/NSU Virginia Beach Higher Education Center, Landstown Elementary School, Landstown Middle School, Landstown High School, LifeNet Health, SPSA Landstown Transfer Station, and Sentara Princess Anne General Hospital. Earlier today, contractor work in the vicinity of Princess Anne Road and S Independence Boulevard resulted in damage to a water valve. The Department of Public Utilities responded to isolate the damaged valve. This boil water notice will remain in effect until at least 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8.
