I finally made time to organize some of the tea sets around the cottage.
Not all of them could fit in this dresser, but I tucked in some of the ones I use most, right where I can easily reach them for quiet tea moments throughout the season. 🫖🤍

I had to stop collecting tea sets because otherwise this little cottage would end up being nothing but tea sets… and we don’t want that. 😅

Years ago I shared this little idea, and I thought I’d share it again. 🤍
I love giving vintage pieces with missing lids, cracks, or little chips a new purpose instead of letting them sit unused.
They make such pretty tissue holders around the house. 🫖

A Season for Gathering 🧺
There is something about this season that makes me want to gather.
To gather the last flowers from the garden, the fruits of summer, and the little treasures nature leaves behind. To fill the kitchen with the warmth of something baking and the table with things made slowly by hand.
But perhaps this is also a season for gathering what cannot be placed in a basket, quiet moments, shared meals, laughter around the table, little hands reaching for mine, and memories made in the ordinary days.
As the days begin to change, I’m reminded that life is not only about moving forward. Sometimes, it is about pausing long enough to gather what is good, what is beautiful, and what we want to carry with us into the next season.

A season for gathering, harvests, memories, and the people we love.

The air feels lighter, the leaves begin to turn crisp, and seasonal produce inspires comforting recipes.
Life seems to grow a little quieter, a little slower.

There’s something so special about this turning of the seasons. September feels like an entrance into the slow season, a season of cozy days, simple pleasures, and quiet beauty.

My favorite season is here, and this year I know I’ll see it all with new eyes as I get to show my daughter the beauty of these quiet, golden days. 🤎🍂

Living: Another August Comes to an End. 🤍

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about time.
When I was younger, time felt so slow.
I couldn’t wait to grow up, see the world, experience new things, and do all the things I dreamed about.
I wanted time to go faster.
And now I find myself wondering… how can I slow it down?

I think I’ve come to a simple conclusion: we are the ones who have to slow down and enjoy the moments we have, because time will not stop for us.
So often, we don’t stop to enjoy that last sip of tea, linger around the family table, take the little walks, or appreciate the simple moments. One day, those will be the moments we remember most.
Time may always feel like it went by too fast, but if we slow down enough to enjoy it, to live, to love, and to make memories, then we truly lived it. 💙

Gently simmered eggs in vintage porcelain egg coddlers.

How to make eggs in egg coddlers:
-Lightly butter the inside of the coddler.
-Crack 1 egg into the coddler (add salt, pepper, or a little cream if you like).
-Screw the lid on loosely.
-Place the coddler in simmering water (water should reach about halfway up the coddler).
-Simmer gently for 6–10 minutes for a soft, creamy egg (longer if you prefer it firmer).
-Carefully remove, unscrew the lid, and enjoy.
-Perfect for slow mornings and simple breakfasts 🍳☕

It needs a little work, but the moment I saw this vintage dollhouse, I knew I had to bring it home. 🤍

Even though my daughter is only five months old, I’m going to restore it little by little so that when she’s finally ready to play, she’ll have a dollhouse waiting for her. 🥹🏡
