Some Call It Clutter, I Call It Collected. 🀍
As I look around our cottage and show my daughter the stories behind each collected piece, I realize just how sentimental I am. Every treasure carries a memory, slow days antiquing, afternoons spent thrifting, little adventures with my husband, and travels that brought pieces of the world home with us.
Those days aren’t gone. They’re simply waiting for a new chapter, one where we bring our daughter along.🌸
That said, I’ll be downsizing some of my collections soon to make moving a little easier. It’s part of the plans we’re holding close and praying over, trusting that, in the right time, the right home will come along.
Until then, I’ll keep cherishing the stories, not just in the things we’ve gathered, but in the life we’ve built together.🌸

We picked strawberries, rolled in the grass, watched butterflies drift by, felt the wind on our faces, and lay beneath the trees watching the branches dance. Then we came home and baked a strawberry shortcake. A sweet day spent together, and the very first shortcake for my three-month-old sweetheart. πŸ“

POV: Your Day Slows Down with a Cup of Tea β˜•πŸŒ§οΈ

The rain taps gently against the window, the kettle begins to sing, and for a moment, there is nowhere else to be.

Just a warm cup in my hands, a quiet home, and the reminder that not every day needs to be rushed. Some days are meant for slowing down, savoring simple comforts, and finding beauty in the ordinary.

Enjoying a cup of tea in my Cherry Blossom tea set from a lovely little reminder that everyday moments can be beautiful too. πŸ’™

What are your favorite rainy day rituals?

Homemade almond milk has quietly joined my little list of things I now make at home. Slowly learning simple ways to nourish my little family. On a rainy day, I found myself craving a glass of milk… so I made my own. I didn’t expect it to be this easy,
or this goodπŸ₯›πŸ€

Almond Milk
1 cup almonds (soaked overnight)
4 cups water
Pinch of salt
1–2 dates (optional, for sweetness)
Blend almonds, water, salt, and dates until smooth. Strain through a nut milk bag or cloth. Chill and enjoy.
Almond Pulp Cookies
Leftover almond pulp
1 ripe banana
1 egg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
Pinch of salt
Chocolate chips (optional)
Coconut flakes (optional)
Mix everything together. Scoop onto a baking tray.
Bake at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 15–20 minutes, until golden.
Simple, cozy, and nothing goes to waste 🀍

Realistic things that help me not rush through the mornings and avoid feeling exhausted by midday 🀍

β€’ Waking up before checking my phone
β€’ Opening the curtains and letting the morning light in
β€’ Keeping mornings simple instead of trying to do everything at once
β€’ Waking up before everyone else if it means I get to have a slow start, make coffee or tea, prepare a cozy breakfast for everybody, and quietly enjoy the stillness of the morning
β€’ Sitting down, even briefly, to actually enjoy breakfast instead of rushing through it
β€’ Listening to the birds through the open windows while tidying the kitchen
β€’ Moving through the morning slowly instead of carrying the feeling of hurry all day
β€’ Accepting that slow mornings do not have to look perfect to feel peaceful

Little rituals and gentle moments make the whole day feel softer.πŸ«–

Lately, enjoying the espresso machine (Model Marenza) has become part of my gentle morning ritual. On mornings when I don’t feel like making coffee the old way, it still gives me such a lovely cup of espresso, and I especially love being able to grind fresh coffee beans each morning 🀍
