all three fights in front of a sold-out hometown crowd and turning Norfolk into the center of the boxing world for the evening.

Former lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis stole the spotlight with a dominant performance over Nahir Albright, punishing him with a relentless body attack and breaking him down over the course of the fight. Every round built on the last as Keyshawn controlled distance, tempo, and momentum, feeding off the energy inside a packed Scope.

On the undercard, Keon Davis brought sharp timing and composure in his bout against Edwine Humaine Jr., staying disciplined under pressure and outworking his opponent in key exchanges. Kelvin Davis followed with a gritty, physical performance against Peter Dobson, using steady pressure and clean counterpunching to secure another win for DB3.

By the final bell, the Davis family had completed a clean sweep—three fights, three wins, and a roaring Norfolk crowd celebrating a night of hometown dominance.

Norfolk is about to show out on May 16 at Scope Arena.

Keyshawn Davis isn’t just fighting — he’s bringing the whole city with him. With brothers Kelvin Davis and Keon Davis also on the card, this feels bigger than a boxing event. It’s a Norfolk moment.

Three brothers. One city. One arena.
That hometown energy is different when the crowd watched you grow from amateurs to main-event fighters. Scope is going to be loud from the first bell to the last.

The rematch with Nahir Albright adds even more tension, and Keyshawn knows the expectations are massive every time he fights at home. But this card is also about putting Norfolk boxing on the national stage again. Keith Cephus

March Madness 2026 recap 🏀🔥

What a ride this year. Brackets busted early (as always), but that’s part of the chaos that makes March Madness unbeatable. From day one, there were upsets that nobody saw coming, underdogs playing like giants, and games that came down to the final possession.

Had my eyes on Michigan, Purdue, VCU, Illinois, Ohio State, TCU, Wisconsin—and the Boozer twins from Duke—some delivered, some didn’t, but every one of them made things interesting in their own way.

Biggest moment? VCU stunning North Carolina after being down 19 😳 one of the biggest first round comebacks in NCAA Tournament history, led by top scorer Terrence Hill Jr.’s 34 points. VCU’s key players stepped up big across the board, flipping the momentum with clutch shots and lockdown defense. Pure madness.

And by the end of it all—Michigan vs. UConn in an absolute barn burner 🔥 Michigan pulled it out 78–75 in a game that had everything: big shots, huge stops, and nonstop intensity until the final buzzer.

The first weekend alone felt like a full tournament—overtime thrillers, last-second shots, and Cinderella stories stealing the spotlight. By the Sweet 16, things got more intense, with every team fighting like it was their last game… because it was.

Final Four energy? Unreal. The pressure, the crowd, the moments—it all hit another level. And the championship game delivered exactly what you’d hope for.

Lessons learned:– Never trust a “safe” bracket– Always expect at least one Cinderella run– Every possession matters in March

Already looking forward to next year. 🏀 Keith Cephus

Illinois Fighting Illini men’s basketball controlled the pace and used size, depth, and veteran poise to beat VCU Rams men’s basketball in the 2026 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Illinois’ ex*****on on offense and ability to handle pressure kept VCU from turning the game into a scrum, while Illinois’ half‑court discipline ultimately made the difference.

VCU’s dynamic backcourt — led by sophomore guard Terrence Hill Jr. and the athletic play of Nyk Lewis — gave Illinois fits at times, but couldn’t sustain enough scoring to overcome Illinois’ balanced attack. The Rams’ effort, highlighted by strong contributions from forward Lazar Djokovic and guard Brandon Jennings, fell just short despite their gritty play. Photos by Keith Cephus ().

The Duke Blue Devils men’s basketball jumped out to a strong first-half lead over the UConn Huskies men’s basketball, powered by the hot start from the Boozer brothers.

Cameron Boozer led the way with 14 points at halftime, while Cayden Boozer added 13, giving Duke a balanced offensive attack. Their scoring punch set the tone early, allowing Duke to control pace and keep UConn’s defense scrambling.

VCU erased a 19-point deficit behind a huge performance from Terrence Hill Jr., whose clutch scoring carried them through overtime, while UNC’s offense—led early by a balanced scoring effort—cooled late. The Rams’ relentless “Havoc” defense forced key turnovers down the stretch to complete the upset in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament.

In a heart-stopping Sweet 16 matchup of the 2026 NCAA Tournament, Purdue edged past Texas 79‑77 to advance to the Elite Eight. With the game tied in the final seconds, Braden Smith drove to the lane, scored to tie it, and created the final opportunity for Purdue. His second attempt missed, but it set the stage for a dramatic finish.

Trailing the play, Trey Kaufman‑Renn tipped in the rebound with just 0.7 seconds left, sealing the victory and sending Purdue fans into celebration. The game highlighted Purdue’s poise under pressure and clutch ex*****on, with Smith and Kaufman‑Renn playing pivotal roles in one of the tournament’s most thrilling finishes. Sometimes, as a photographer, shooting the basketball game is just a small fraction of how we as creatives tell our story. It’s about the moments around the game—the people, the energy, and the unique opportunities that make the experience unforgettable.

That’s exactly what made covering the NCAA Tournament in Greenville, SC so special—the CBS lead broadcasting team of Ian Eagle, Bill Raftery, and Grant Hill brought incredible insight and presence to the event.

Ian Eagle, one of the most polished play-by-play voices in the game, sets the tone with his clarity and command of the moment. Bill Raftery, a legend in college basketball, brings energy, humor, and those iconic phrases that fans love. And Grant Hill, with his deep experience as a Hall of Fame player, offers thoughtful, high-level analysis that really elevates the broadcast.

I even had the opportunity to create an amazing portrait of the three of them, which made the experience even more meaningful. Photo: Keith Cephus . Storytelling BasketballCulture GreenvilleSC FinalFour
