Right after Hot August Nights was over in Reno, I jumped on interstate 80 and drove my grandson back to his dad in Oklahoma.

Over the next couple of days, I’ll be coming back to the good guys show in Pleasanton along route 66.

This is the first of my dispatches from Stroud Oklahoma. According to my trucks temperature gauge it’s 108° and it feels like it’s about 80 to 85% humidity.(!)

This is the Goldstar memorial in the center of town right next to the rock Café and just down the street from the Skyliner Motel
