Co-op community! Round-up at the register in July for Driftless Community Radio: WDRT 91.9FM!

WDRT is a listener-sponsored, volunteer-driven, community radio station serving the Driftless Region. It offers a broad mix of cultural programming and provides opportunities for members of the public to produce their own programming.

💚Give Where You Live (GWYL) register round-up program is Viroqua Food Co+op's owner-driven giving program. It encourages register round-ups to support local schools and non-profits. Co-op owners nominate local organizations in October and vote on the recipients for the following year each November. Since the beginning of the program, the co-op, along with co-op owners and shoppers, has raised and donated over $275,000 for area organizations through GWYL.

We did it!!! As of 8AM this morning, we made our $15,000 pledge drive goal!

Big thanks to everybody who donated, and to Socially Responsible Retirement Strategies for their generous match.

Also, shout out to The Historic Temple Theatre for their support, and congratulations to Greg from Bloomington, MN for winning a $100 gift certificate to the theatre!

We’ll be broadcasting on the patio from 6-9PM with Jay Hoffman .hoffman of Playing Favorites hosting some great live bands. The lineup includes Esther B. Saw, Tim Eddy , Neil Knutson and Daddy Long Legs!

It’s also the one year anniversary of WDRT Wednesday at The Woolly Bear, and $1 from every pint, $2 from every pizza, and $3 from every growler sold will be donated to WDRT!

15 years ago, WDRT emerged from the ground up. Thanks to incredible volunteer energy (up to 140 and counting!) and community support, we are proud to still be the only listener-sponsored, independent radio station in the Driftless.
