Isn't it incredible how just a few words can completely shift the tone of your entire week?
As we move into the second week of June, things can start to feel a little hectic. Maybe you're wrapping up the school year with the kids, juggling a busy work schedule, or just trying to navigate the normal, everyday ups and downs of life here in the valley. It's so easy to let our minds drift into "worry mode."
But look at the beautiful reminder we have in Romans 5:1:
"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Notice that it doesn’t say we might have peace, or that we have to earn it by being absolutely perfect. Because of what Jesus did for us, peace is already ours. It’s a settled, deep-down quietness that stays steady no matter how loud the world around us gets. You don't have to carry the weight of everything on your own shoulders today—He’s already taken care of the heavy lifting.
Whenever you feel a rush of worry over the next few days, take a slow breath and remember that you are completely covered by His grace and walking in His perfect peace.
