🌟🌟🌟 Christmas Reflections — DAY 12 Love That Shows Up

1 John 4:9 “This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.”

Christmas reminds us of something powerful: God doesn’t love us from far away. He steps right into our world — into our mess, our needs, our fears — and He loves us up close. Christ came to love us and show us what love looks like.

And that love didn’t stop at the manger. It carried Him all the way to the cross. We are saved because of what Jesus did — He died for us, He rose again, and now we have the hope of being part of that first resurrection when He returns to take us home. What a promise!

God didn’t stand by and watch us dig ourselves into a pit. He didn’t shrug His shoulders and say, “Well, good luck.” No — He stepped in. He reached down. He lifted us out.

That’s Christmas. A God who shows up. A Savior who comes close. A love that rescues, restores, and leads us into life.

And today, that same love is reaching for you.

🌟🌟🌟 Christmas Reflections — DAY 11 A Savior Born for You

Luke 2:11 “Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”

Rejoice! The Savior has been born!…out of love. That’s personal. That’s intentional. That’s God saying, “I see you, and I’m coming close.” - Immanuel “God WITH us.

Some Bible translations say “born to you.” Others say “born unto you.” Both remind us that Jesus did not come for a faceless crowd — He came with your name on His heart.

And notice how He came.

There were no cameras flashing… no royal parade… no earthly spotlight. The King of kings arrived quietly, humbly, in a stable.

Yet all of heaven erupted in joy, The Shepherds rejoiced and the Wise Men were beyond overjoyed. - All knew something holy that the SAVIOR had been born!!

In the same way, Jesus often enters our hearts softly. Not with chaos or commotion… but with a still, gentle voice. A voice of love, tenderness, and invitation…to take his hand.

This Christmas, let’s not tell Jesus we’re too busy, too crowded, too overwhelmed for Him. Let’s make room — real room — in our hearts and in our days.

This season, let’s not be like the inn that said, “There’s no room.” Let’s PREPARE Him room

🌟🌟🌟 Christmas Reflections — DAY 10. Wonder Restored

Psalm 126:3 “The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

Christmas naturally invites wonder — twinkling lights, familiar songs, warm memories. But somewhere along the way, life’s pressures can dim that sparkle. We start noticing what’s missing instead of what’s present… what we lack instead of what God has already given.

We slip from gratitude to comparison, from joy to “not enough.”

But Scripture pulls us back: “The Lord has done great things for us.” Not small things. But GREAT things!!

Sometimes we just need God to help us see again.

Ask Him today to restore your sense of wonder — a wonder that notices the little blessings tucked between the big ones… a wonder that remembers how special you are to Christ.… a wonder that pauses to think: He gave up all He had to give you all He has.

A wonder that sees the gifts you didn’t earn but God delights to lavish on you anyway. A wonder that recognizes the many ways He has provided, guided, comforted, and carried you.

Because He’s still doing great things. Still moving. Still giving. Still surprising. Still worthy of your awe.

Just like the carol “Joy to the World” declares — we sing because of the wonders of His love.

🌟🌟🌟 Christmas Reflections — DAY 9 Strength for the Weary

Isaiah 40:31 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Life can wear us out and sometimes you feel like you’re running on fumes. But God’s promise is clear: those who place their hope in Him will be renewed.

Not MIGHT be. Not COULD be. WILL be.

When life weighs you down, God lifts you up. When your strength runs out, HIS strength steps in. He doesn’t just give you a little boost — He restores you from the inside out.

God lifts us up above the struggles of the world and helps us to look from a new perspective.

He gives endurance to run the race and give us the wings we need to soar

Life may bring moments that drain you, discourage you, or leave you feeling empty… but the Lord promises renewed hope, renewed joy, and a renewed strength when you trust in Him.
So today, if you feel tired — let Him carry you— His strength never runs out.

🌟🌟🌟 Christmas Reflections — DAY 8 Loved as You Are

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Before you ever reached for God… He had already reached for you. Before you prayed, before you changed, before you even cared — you were already loved.
Think about the way we love our children: even when they’re having a meltdown, even when they yell, even when they’re acting in ways that break our hearts — we still scoop them up, wipe their tears, and love them through it.

God loves you like that… only deeper. His love doesn’t wait for you to “get it together.” He loves you right in the middle of your mess… He loves you even when you’re not acting like the person you want to be.

But here’s the good news — Jesus didn’t die for us so we could stay stuck in sin. He died so we could OVERCOME it. So we could hand those heavy, broken pieces to Him and let Him reshape our hearts from the inside out.

Just as He carried our sins to the cross, we can let those sins die… and rise again, made new in Christ.

So as you look toward the manger this season, remember why He came: to save you, to restore you, and to love you — right where you are, and he love’s us too much to leave you there.
Rest in that love today.

A friendly update, from Justin, your weekend DJ

At 1:08 PM yesterday, I took an unfortunate fall, and suffered a sizable laceration on my head. God did look after me. That is for sure. I’ll still be with you next weekend (probably with a more in-depth story). Despite what has happened, I am drawn to 1 Thessalonians 5:18 , “ Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”. And so, I will. The God we serve is the antithisis of worthy. Oh sure. We may have to work on our skills to see His hand, but it is there, and it is kind.

I just want to thank you all for your prayers and kind words. Also, I wanted to give recognition to Kaweah Health, who is one of our proud underwriters. They deliver excellent care, and is why I am writing this message. ’sMercies
