If you’re a bride getting ready for your makeup trial and thinking…
“I have no idea what I’m doing.”
“What if I don’t like it?”
“I’ve never been here before.”
Take a deep breath. 🤍
You’re not supposed to know what to do — that’s why you hire a professional.
I’ve worked with so many brides, and almost every single one walks into her trial feeling a little unsure. This season of engagement is full of decisions, opinions, Pinterest boards, and pressure. Your trial shouldn’t feel like another overwhelming appointment on the checklist.
It should feel like a safe place to figure out what makes you feel beautiful.
That’s why I always share a few simple things with every bride before her trial — not to add pressure, but to remove it. To help you feel prepared, confident, and supported walking in.
Here are the three things I tell every bride:
✨ 1. Come with inspiration — but don’t feel married to it.
Bring photos of looks you’re drawn to. It helps me see your vision. But remember, what works for one face may need adjusting for yours. We tailor it to you.
✨ 2. Prep your skin, but keep it simple.
Hydrated, clean skin is your best starting point. No new facials, no last-minute product experiments — your trial isn’t the time for surprises.
✨ 3. Be honest about how you want to feel.
Soft and natural? Glam and dramatic? Somewhere in between? The goal isn’t just how you look — it’s how you feel when you see yourself in the mirror.
And here’s the part I care about most:
This is a joyful season. Your trial is a sneak peek at the moment you’ll walk down the aisle. It’s okay to experiment. It’s okay to not have all the words. It’s okay to say, “I’m not sure yet.”
We’ll figure it out together. 🤍
PS. Don’t forget to have fun. This is your once-in-a-lifetime season — you deserve to enjoy it.
