The Big Tell Film Contest is a regional documentary filmmaking grant program open to artists in Fresno, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Kings, and Tulare counties. This program is hosted by Community Media Access Collaborative (CMAC) and is funded by the Central Valley Community Foundation and the James B. McClatchy Foundation.

They are awarding 10 local filmmakers $5,000 grants to create short documentaries that highlight untold stories from across the Central Valley.

Deadline to apply: July 7, 2025
