The Vista Press Online

The Vista Press Online Welcome to TheVistaPress.com, an online community news website modeled after a small hometown newspaper.

ONLINE NEWS FOR VISTA AND NORTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY
Local news publication covering North San Diego County with news, local events and happenings in our surrounding areas. The original Vista Press was first printed on Sept. 24, 1926. It was printed in San Diego and distributed from Melvin Remsburg’s office at the Vista Inn, in Vista. The Remsburg family maintained the Vista Press until it was sold to

a Georgia based company in 1972. The paper, briefly named the Morning Press, ceased operation in 1995. Since then the North County Times was the only actual hometown newspaper. When the San Diego Union purchased the North County Times the community was left without an opportunity to advertise the happening around Vista. While we will not have a printed version, we will try to offer that same ‘down home’ feel and real local community news. Any one wishing to submit an event for your club or organization may do so by sending it to our site. We hope to have as many local events, meetings, announcements, as possible. Clubs & organizations wanting to advertise special events or news may do so by sending us your information to [email protected]
